Can't fault her for flipping the bird to any doubters. However she's moving into her teens. Following after dad is something that loses some luster in the next few years. Be interesting to see if she hangs on.

Especially after she experiences a season of 3 months of trophies and 9 months in hospital. Assuming she survives what would merely cripple a larger person. Some bull riders are lucky enough to miss that experience, but I wouldn't count on it.
I wish her well, and she sure has courage, but I don't see this ending well. Unless she's smart enough to retire early.

Kids have springy bones. They get minor cracks when adult bones would shatter.
She is currently riding bulls with shorter legs, and her own height is less. Impact energy increases with height. Relatively minor falls can be destructive, but here she will be adding height.
Pound for pound, female bones (and other tissues) are not as strong as the male equivalent -- and that applies to kids as well. I recall reading of a few cases where girls played tackle football and what would have been a good bruising for the boys was a catastrophic injury for the girls, because of that.

Speaking of weight, does the bull notice the bull rider's weight? I mean, if in the limit, the rider didn't weigh anything, the bull wouldn't notice...and wouldn't buck, correct?
Maybe her light weight means the bull doesn't get as riled up and doesn't buck as hard?
She can ride bulls because she's a Native American and they know how to communicate with spirit animals. You know it when you hear the woodwind instrument playing in the background like everytime Chakotay say, "Man who go through airport door sideways go to Bangkok."
Not wanting to follow in her father's footsteps might still happen in a year or two, but I'd figure that's just the typical teenage independence that kicks in for most kids. If you're referring specifically to gender, 13-14 years old was when all of the girls I knew reached their personal pinnacle of feminine interests/behavior, so if she's not leaning that way enough to quit for gender reasons now, my guess is that she won't in the future either.

A hundred pounds or so doesn't make a lot of difference when the bull's weighing in at five or ten times as much. It's gonna suck about the same.
