Tens of thousands of armed citizens came to protest in VA, said what they had to say, and harmed nobody at all. Then they left. But not before cleaning up after themselves. Talk about pissing the ones trying to sell the progtard narrative off. I did laugh.

Agreed, as presented. Of course, if you pulled your gun first that would change the situation quite a bit.
"Despite the fact that nobody was physically harmed, this should not be considered a peaceful protest."
Why? No one intended violence, no violence occurred, how was it not peaceful?
"Rather, it was a demonstration with the purpose of influencing Virginia's government at the point of a gun or, more accurately, a vast number of guns."
No, no one pointed any guns.
This was a peaceful demonstration by the citizens of the state letting the government know that there actions are not approved. If this sort of demonstration is not a legitimate exercise of democracy, then no protests are.
"The NRA vehemently opposes gun control. "
Wow! You are seriously misinformed, you got that exactly wrong. The NRA is the nations largest anti second amendment lobby. Watch their hands, not their lips.
"The majority of Americans do support expanding gun control"
Only when you frame the questions carefully to produce that result. When the questions are framed honestly, the results are rather different.
But so what? Human rights are human rights, ignorant attitudes do not trump human rights, and they do not trump the law. We have a constitution for a reason. Even if the majority are against free speech, the law still protects it. Even if the majority were in favor of victim disarmament, the constitution prohibits it.
And wisely so.
