    We took the wrong leg of the trousers of time when Ford pardoned Nixon.

    They lit that fuse when they nominated Humphrey, the official end of whatever scraps of liberalism existed within the DNC, marking a very prosperous relationship with the GOP. The merger may become official with Bloomberg. He is very juiced in on both sides, making for them, a palatable replacement for Trump. Then, maybe, possibly, a viable opposition will emerge, in maybe 500 years or so.
