Shut down and ignore the stock markets. They are irrelevant to daily life. In fact we can take that money and put it to use for helping people that need it. There's enough there for the world over, right now, this second, just hit the button, and done, all that fundage is in a different folder.

Unfortunately they have been given a blank check, amounting to over 2 trillion, all at the drop of a hat, while we have to wait while congress bickers and babbles.

And still not even the slightest hint that people will lift a finger and vote them out. They'll just keep blaming the Russians

Edit:
There's over 30 trillion of "debt" in the stock market. Not exactly chump change. Freeze it right now! Before they can run off with it, like we are letting them do. That's the money to use. That's the government debt to cancel. And if we put an end to usury, we will gain much more than we lose.

    You really do have no empathy or morality to speak of, the definition of sociopath.

    Looks who's projecting. Consider your phrase "steal jobs and send them overseas for cheap/free labor" (no such thing as free labor). That helps billions of poor people improve their lives. Yet here you are, selfishly obsessing over your developed world pricing power (with some very unempathic label spewing) rather than display the alleged empathy or morality that you claim to be concerned about.

    Your empathy is nonexistent and your morals are bankrupt - definitely not the sort of person I should be taking advice from!

    The only thing I am projecting is a spotlight, on your obvious sociopathy.

    Keep on denying, it's fun to watch!

      Maybe you're shooting the wrong foot? If you shoot your other foot this time, it'll no doubt turn out better. I'm pretty sure, we'll fix this problem soon.

    Everybody else see all the "strike-thrus" in everything beneath the above comment?

    Bet that can't be done without unicode...

      I posted at the bottom (well, it was the bottom) starting my post with

      </strike>

      as I did with this post, so the strikeout is gone after the beginning of this post.

      It means that in this post: https://soylentnews.org/comments.pl?noupdate=1&sid=36625&page=1&cid=973210#commentwrap [soylentnews.org] there is an opening strike

      <strike>

      without the closing

      </strike>

      so SN "slashcode" needs to check for unclosed tags in posts.

        Hmmm. It did not work in (my) parent post, but it did at the bottom, so hierarchy has something to do with it maybe...

          I had this problem with previous journal that struck out my entire comment page. Turned out that the ellipsis on the end of the journal preview at the top "reopened" the strike-out tag in the journal. Since we can edit journals, I just added some text to bump the strike-out tag down.

          Fixed it... Had to go way up into a different thread.
