Just a guess here but have you considered submitting something where TFS requires less editing than what a bot throws together? Upstart is chromas' personal bot and I believe tries to dump the entire FA in as a quote, so there's a good likelihood of less text (often only a dozen paragraphs worth) needing removed than an aristarchus sub. *grin*

Maybe. For some values of "Everyone" that doesn't include me.
Never got the hang of programming and don't have nearly that much time for recreational programming anyway. I've managed to work out the rss feed for several sites and use that to drive my "Feed" page on Pipedot.org Also managed to get a couple of sites to repair their rss feed when it quit (after a site re-design). That's about the limit of what I can do personally.
Have you posted a more detailed tutorial somewhere?

Perhaps, if you inserted less crud for an editor to sift through, they might give your submissions the spotlight a bit more. I know, we'll just give them a raise to incentivize them to do their jobs better. 5000000% raise for them all! Though, really, in this case, would that have been the case? Maybe, they did a better job than you give them credit. Unless, your entire goal is for them to just submit any old Aristarchus submission. In which case, I say, good riddance to bad rubbish.

Actually, takyon is currently second only to AC with 5866. You are indeed in third place if you exclude AC and bots though. With 1278 not 1276 at the time of this comment. AnonTechie is just behind you with 1190. I think the HoF list only adds up accepted subs but I'm too lazy to check the code right now and I know it excludes subs by anyone who is currently an editor.

Yeah, a commune is probably a bad example, after all, if the commune fails, it has society to fall back into.
A better (IMHO) example would be "at nothing larger than the primitive tribal level, where if it fails, everyone dies."
A primitive tribe is inherently communist, from each according to their abilities, to each according to their needs.
Yeah, I realize this is simplified to the extreme, but I don't think you were looking for a full on political discussion.
National communism is (again, IMHO) a fantasy and has never been implemented as anything more than a party line.

I was about to apologize for that post as I was still under the influence of some drugs they gave me at the hospital where I spent a night for what was a benign gallbladder stone. The positive moderation made me laugh therefore I decided not to do it; after all it was somehow almost on topic and had an highschool level sorta insightful quality to it...

Underwent the Gallbladder thing myself about a year ago.
Initially sent home with two injections of Dilaudid and a script for Hydromorphone (pill form Dilaudid) as non-emergency surgery slots were full until Monday (two days later), due to remodeling of the surgical wing. Never been so high in my life as I was those two days before surgery.....
I do recall making a couple of intensely insightful posts during that time, well, insightful if your ten feet tall flying along above the Kármán line anyway! Re-read them a few days later and was amazed at how an intensely fucked-up brain can think. I really meandered on about several unrelated subjects, sometimes changing subjects mid-sentence, atrocious spelling (my grammar sucks anyway, so that was average..), no discernible train of thought.
Your post was quite legible and sensible for 'hospital drug state of mind.' At least you still made sense, even if you didn't quite get to where you wanted!
