During 2019, Microsoft announced that it will close the books category of its digital store. While other software and apps will still be available via the virtual shop front, and on purchasers' consoles and devices, the closure of the eBook store takes with it customers' eBook libraries. Any digital books bought through the service – even those bought many years ago – will no longer be readable after July 2019. While the company has promised to provide a full refund for all eBook purchases, this decision raises important questions of ownership.

I swear I have posted the same response I want to post now, here at least a dozen times.
This will be slid in 24 hours, nothing will happen, all of the good snark in here will itself be memory holed within the week.
The surveillance databases will never age, never be redacted, so long after your favorite films are eradicated since they were never licensed by a reseller in your decade, your childhood phone movement tracker will be showing your torturer what you were doing this day exactly 40 years ago, and how far you have fallen, etc etc.
Yes, you were once a well-paid shill, harassing real people on the internet before they were all disappeared, but now everyone who knows anything knows too much, and your caste is being retired, but not before your real bosses have some fun at your expense.
And get their money back, after all, shilling isnt working, it is just lying while you sit on your ass.
