The thing killing the fruit flies is erithrytol, not stevia itself, and the "stevia side effects" article boils down to "a hell of a lot of what's on the market is adulterated with bad shit, which is actually what's causing the problems." I personally feel much better since switching off other sweeteners.

I'll make my point clear: Nothing on the market is as safe as honey, but if I'm going to consume poison, I'll stick to good old fashioned granulated and/or powdered sugar from sugar cane or sugar beets.
If you have coronaids, honey is as dangerous as rat poison. The more glucose in your system, the harder it is to get vitamin C into your cells where it's being quickly used up.
