    Did you not read those articles? The thing killing the fruit flies is erithrytol, not stevia itself, and the "stevia side effects" article boils down to "a hell of a lot of what's on the market is adulterated with bad shit, which is actually what's causing the problems." I personally feel much better since switching off other sweeteners.

    Yesssss, I noted the erithrytol thing. And, I noted that stevia contains erithrytol. Your point?

    I'll make my point clear: Nothing on the market is as safe as honey, but if I'm going to consume poison, I'll stick to good old fashioned granulated and/or powdered sugar from sugar cane or sugar beets.

    Remind me again, which country exports most of the stevia people ingest? (and ever seen the inside of a stevia production plant?)
