Same here. This is very much my kind of device but sometime in December my old phone finally gave up its lease on life after a 5-6 year run and I had to get a replacement. Ended up with a Note 10+ because I wanted a gigantic screen — my eyesight sucks, plus the extra-long form factor means more on-screen keyboard space when needed — and Best Buy was running a holiday promotion so I got a good deal on it. As much as I'd like something like this, I'm not even a year into owning my current phone and I absolutely refuse to replace them until I have no other choice. I hate the habit some people have of wasting perfectly good hardware just to chase the new shiny every year, and refuse to join in.

Though, thanks to some upcoming Android changes [github.com] that affect functionality and existence of tools like Termux, there's a good chance the lifecycle of my current phone will end up being shorter than I would like. The only reason I tolerate the more annoying aspects of Android is it's been open enough that I can still use tools like termux make use of the Linux underpinnings, which has been "good enough" most of the time. It's been close enough to what I want that it wasn't worth the effort of trying to use alternatives, which have been inconvenient to get and use in the US. I don't use the phone quite enough for the improvement to be worth the extra effort; however, once it gets too annoying to do what I want with Android, that will change and it will go into the trash bin alongside "my way or the highway" iOS.
