In other totally-not-a-slide-into-fascism news, peaceful protestors who had a permit to march were teargassed on the way to vote.
They have elections in all those shithole dictatorial countries too. They just make sure the wrong people don't vote.
The participants in Saturday’s “I Am Change” march had intended to conclude at an early-voting site to emphasize turnout in the final days of the presidential campaign. Those plans were thrown into disarray when law-enforcement officers in riot gear and gas masks insisted demonstrators move off the street and clear county property, despite a permit authorizing their presence.

In new orleans there were protestors that blocked the traffic. The police asked them to leave and when they refused the police said "Ok, we are going home for dinner then. Have fun hanging out in the middle of the highway" and laughed their asses off at them as they drove away. After the police left the protestors got bored and wandered off.
Basically you have to use reverse psychology on them like 5 year olds.

I wasn't aware of that incident. I assume you're talking about blocking I-10 back in June.
It doesn't support my hypothesis but it does make me happy to see.
Apparently, protestors blocked an overpass for a couple hours peacefully. The cops showed up, took a knee for a bit, then left.
AMERICA, FUCK YEAH!
