Honestly, it's just pointing out the obvious at this point.
But... We all know damn well that if Trump was in this electoral situation right now the race would've been called already.
I wanted to celebrate today!
Getting drunk on a Saturday isn't a celebration. That's just a Saturday....

TMB's not referring to Trump's bluster. He's referring to the media calling things.
What you are directly seeing right now is exactly how long it always took to count the vote. The reason you were never aware was that the news media, in order to convert the election into entertainment to keep you watching the commericals, would predict who was the winner in each state long before the final vote tallies came in.
All those late night sessions watching the "returns" come in, and watching state after state go red or blue -- all just predictions based on mere fractions of the total vote in each state.
This predicting game got to be so bad that in 2000 the entertainment cartels (CNN/MSNBC/FOX) actually called Florida for Gore, then in the middle of the night had to reverse that and call it for Bush (because they had predicted without enough gap in the margin to be safe making the prediction). Since Florida's electoral votes were the difference between who won they had another "Dewy defeats Truman [wikipedia.org]" debacle on their hands.
The result of that bad prediction in 2000 reigned in the entertainment cartel's willingness to predict without clear margins that can't be accidentally turned around by the final counts The result is that in close races (such as this one now) you get to see just how long the vote counting actually takes, because they are not feeding you a guess early to keep you "entertained".
