who do you read?
i think i mentioned him in a comment on a previous journal entry of yours, have you read bukowski? if you havent maybe try the short story collection "south of no north" and any of his poetry from the 70's, something like "love is a dog from hell". tho in truth if you like buk at all you will probably like everything he did.
maybe you already know these guys but if novels are more your preference, i think hubert selby jr would be well worth reading, also de sade, specifically "the 120 days of sodom" it takes a while to start and trails off into notes at the end but the rest is excellent.
