But I am perfectly fine with the US hoarding our vaxxes until every American has had the opportunity to get them.
Those companies are free to sell to whomever they want but we got our orders in early and we're currently first in line.

The concept of "charity beginning at home" is more noble than the oft-repeated "I got mine" dismissal allows. As Gregor Samsa discovered, you cannot be of any use to others if you cannot look after yourself. Somebody once told me of a concept like this in Buddhism but I don't recall the exact details.
It's not selfish. If Operation WarpSpeed™ and a forward-functioning economy allows the US to distribute the vaccines to the rest of the world at close to cost it's approaching selflessness.
