Seems that The Mighty Buzzard is tired of winning. Filters and mod-bans, IRC kicks, anyone who proves that TMB is a loser in debate sooner or later finds themselves blocked from SoylentNews. And seems it is just this one dev who is asserting these admin powers, and lobbying for more draconian rules.

AzumaHazuki was kicked from #soylent by Aphrodite!Aphrodite@dodekatheon.olympus.gr [(TheMightyBuzzard) No reason given]

No reason given, no reason needed, and indeed a complete lack of reason, other than Buzzard displeasure.

*TheMightyBuzzard* FatPhil, Fnord666, Bytram, chromas: adding 24h to each subsequent ban for the same thing (not doubling except the 2nd time, just cause math) sound reasonable to you folks?

Come now, Miffed Bussdart, just go with the shadow-banhammer, for great discussion control. And the provocation?

*AzumaHazuki* is carrion-breath here showing his ignorance again? i have him muted so i can't see
[15:06:22] *c0lo* Moving goal posts, TMB. Spare your back for those trimmings in the church
[15:06:31] *AzumaHazuki* oh, but be careful, you might get !quiet'd or even kickbanned for being ruuuuuuuuuuude
[15:06:41] *AzumaHazuki* because freeze peach
[15:06:44] *TheMightyBuzzard* goal posts? you went entirely off topic so there are no goal posts.
[15:07:20] *TheMightyBuzzard* AzumaHazuki, yes, you might. you've been warned about shitting up the place with personal attacks. that goes even for ones on me.

Personal attacks on the poor little TMB! Life is so unfair! But at least now he can shit post in peace.

And, in the mean time, aristarchus has been mod-banned again, because some new user modded posts the same way as aristarchus did? How convenient, we get all the Buzzard opposition out of the way in one fowl swoop! Now the Runaway Buzzard Gun Blog is complete, the best of Oklahoma and Arkansas, and nothing of value is gained. But the dream of a user moderated site that was BuckFeta is dead. Rest in Pieces.

Well, what do you want to know about me? Ask, and you'll likely get an honest answer. The worst I can say is "Sorry, not telling you that." You won't, for example, get pictures or a voice sample from me because I'm not a complete idiot =P

Well, what do you want to know about me?

Nothing. Why do you ask? I am only intrigued that clicking on your page logs me out. I'm not asking about you

That's just bizarre, then. I have no idea what would cause that or why, but the next obvious thing to do is to see if clicking on other peoples' profile links does the same. Stratify by user type too; see if it happens for editors or admins, for other ordinary users, for friends, for foes, etc. It's possible the foe modifier has something to do with it, though WHY someone would code something like that escapes me.
