Japanese doctors perform world's first living donor lung transplant to a Covid-19 patient:
[...] Kyoto University Hospital said the woman underwent an 11-hour operation by a 30-strong medical team on Wednesday to transplant lung tissue from her husband and son.
Covid-19 is known to cause severe lung damage in some patients, and people around the world -- including the United States -- have received lung transplants as part of their recovery from the disease.
But the Kyoto hospital said this case was the first in which lung tissue had been transplanted from living donors to a Covid-19 patient.
Dr. Hiroshi Date, a thoracic surgeon at the hospital who led the operation, said it gave hope to patients suffering from severe lung damage from Covid-19.

In Japan (the country where I have lived, and which you are making up random stuff about), the son does not happily give his lung to anyone. The son's happiness and choice are not considered - he is told to give the lung to his mother, he has a choice to go cry about it, as long as he does it out of sight.
Asia is in the 19th century. All of Asia. Japan specifically has:
-holiday celebrating their fallen ww2 heroes, at a memorial for them. they aren't taught about what happened in ww2 in school.
-12 hour * 6 day workweek. They mostly sit there doing redundant busywork - zero productivity tools are used. American workers are probably 10x productive per hour. While producing some cool tech, they don't use any of it. Email a file to someone across town? Nah, burn it on a CD and have it delivered by bike courier. No, I'm not kidding.
-You are hired for a job after college. Your productivity is irrelevant - you just need to be present there 2/3 of your life. The company plans what you do on your free time, what restaurants you go to, and what woman you marry. The day you start out of college, you are able to tell what position you will hold at the company, and how much you'll make, till you retire.
-Their infrastructure is crumbling worse than in the states. Their houses are built to last about 20-30 years (who wants to live in a used house - that's gross).
-Wives don't have sex with husbands. They do send them to hookers. If you're old and your wife is dead, the hookers are paid for by health insurance. While this may seem progressive, it's the opposite. The social development is so lacking, that literally a man is scared of a woman and cannot get laid on his own. They do recognize zero sex will cause depression and health issues, but address the symptom, not the cause. Very progressive indeed.
You said "Asia." I've covered Japan. Let's cover China, the other big part of Asia. Also a place I've been, not just on a short tourist trip. Actually, let's not address it. If you think China is ruling the 21st century, there is no arguing w/ you, you're just an idiot. Their GPD per capita is 7x less than America - there's just many of 'dem ants. They're the busboys of the world. You just said busboys are going to rule the restaurant business. Congratulations, you are literally a clinical retard.

were#1 in fatness!! hmm, no, we're #25th.
And, having been to Japan and China.. The people who can afford it, are usually quite overweight. It's a status symbol - getting laid in those countries has nothing to do w/ looking attractive. What you're thinking of is Korea here. Japan and China rank pretty low because literally, some people are skinny because they can't get enough food to not be.
So no, In Japan, a son does not give a lung to save his mother happily. He is neither happy, nor does he give anything - it's taken from him. A lung is taken from him. By the duty to his family. Duty that's beaten into him from a young age by that mother.
