Wasting mod points on cowards is not worthy at all.
If someone does not value his opinion enough to stake his own reputation on it, why should anyone else waste a resource on it?
We use nicknames for a reason: that's a separation layer from the real world identities. That creates an identity fixpoint in infinite continuum of virtual personalities. Anonymous Coward is... like a mud, indifferentiated sludge collective of bacteria feeding on anything at reach.
Your campaign for encouraging borgs to become better borgs is futile.

On one level this perfectly correct -- mod points spent on AC carry no karma value. On the other hand, when there are some who use moderation abusively, presenting them with targets such as upmodded AC posts to attack, impairs those abusive users' ability to harm logged-in users.
On the topic of whether AC's opinion is valueless because AC doesn't attach a fake name to it -- I guess I disagree. The logical conclusion to this road is that no opinion is valuable unless a real name is attached to it, but there are often good reasons for people to publish anonymously opinions which are valuable. For example: https://www.thomaspainesociety.org/common-sense [thomaspainesociety.org]

But this is untrue! ACs can be shadowbanned by IP address, filtered, blocked, based on unpublished accumulation. I find it troubling you have so little understanding of a system you seek to reform.
