Mine is apparently 145. And so what? That and $2 will get me on the NFTA Metro (well, I have a monthly pass, but you know).

Intelligence is only half of the equation. High INT is when you know tomatoes are technically a berry; high WIS is when you know that they don't go in a fruit salad.

Tomatoes don’t go in a fruit salad? I’m shocked, absolutely shocked, I say!

Mind you, sweet cherry tomatoes might make an interesting addition? I thought mayonnaise in French fries would be gross, but I love it. Sometimes you have to try something different and take it on trust when someone says it’s good. Like the first person to eat lobster or snails.

Apparently my SAT and GRE scores correspond to an IQ of 145. Non-rigorous tests I've taken show higher numbers but I don't trust them.

Okay, but...what will you *do* with this superior intellect of yours? What positive difference have you made in the world thus far, and how much did your gigantic pulsing exposed neocortex have to do with it?

I never got to do much with mine, but it's made me a damn good pharmacy worker. It's good for picking up on how to do the job quickly and how to keep sterility and safety in the IV room. But you know what's more important than IQ for that? Good will, keeping myself slim and speedy, and a good heart. The high IQ helps but it's nowhere near even the top of the list. And yet, this is how I do good in the world. There are better people than me with perfectly average or even below-normal IQs. There are better people than me in third-world countries who every day do their best to help their families and villages. Intelligence is not the whole story.

I think you are lying to yourself about your IQ. When was your SAT and GRE taken? They ceased to function for IQ tests around the 2000's.

It's getting to be a while ago now. I'm class of 2006 in high school, so 2005? I do know it's before they added the essay requirement to the SAT. GRE would have been a few years later of course.

Why does your IQ matter to you so much, though? I have to ask, again, what are you *doing* with this superior intellect of yours? Remember, to whom much is given, of that person much is expected. If you are truly this intelligent, you have an obligation to do something good with it, more than someone with just an average IQ. Circumstances might prevent you from reaching your full potential (Madokami knows I'd have made an excellent pharmacist rather than just a tech but poor girls don't go to pharmacy school...), but even as "just" a tech I can still help save lives. What about you? What will you do with your Promethean IQ?

They don't, really, but the real Runaway most definitely has the 14 words memorized :) He kind of let it slip...over and over...over the last few years. There's that giant rant of his where he says he wants to see "50 million dead progressives" so his "grandkids won't be third-class citizens to make brown and black people happy." And there's the numerous times he's outright stated his fears over Hispanics outbreeding "us" (who's "us," buddy?).

Yup. Mine's a hair over 160* and it's at best a mixed blessing. For all the shit it makes easier, it makes some really important things a lot more difficult.

Better examples for INT vs WIS: Richard Nixon and Edith Bunker. Both of them had a high score in only one of the two.

*Or a hair under 140 if you come over to my house, wake me up after four hours of sleep, and tell me you need me to take one RIGHT NOW for a psych class you have later that morning, and then proceed to try to get me to think or give a shit about your questions before my morning coffee is even done brewing.

If yours is actually over 160 then yes, that makes you a perfect example of what I mean. My problem is CHA is my dump stat. Yours is that everything *not* INT is your dump stat, save for the STR grinding you've done.

...why am I talking like this? I've never even played a tabletop game before.
