99.6 percent of geniuses aren’t stupid enough to pay to be a member of a totally useless organization.

So you’re in the lowest o.4% - way to go “genius”.

The only question is “why?” Insecurity? Not smart enough to research this bullshit group? Don’t have a life so you never developed the skills to socialize with “normies?” Or maybe you have more money than brains (there’s a lot of that going around)? Sure, it’s not much money, but it would have been better invested in beer and pizza for people around you.

Let me guess - you think you’ll meet someone who can appreciate you for your brains. Hahaha. So sad.

To paraphrase a good friend back in college: "Mensa's for insecure people who can't brag that they attended a top university."

To quote Groucho Marx, “I wouldn’t join any group that wanted me as a member.”

Always ask “que bono”? It will keep you out of clubs, multi-level marketing scams, and organizations like Mensa and the Republican Party.

I knew someone who joined Mensa. They had previously been found not criminally responsible for patricide. I wonder just how many losers join because that’s the only place they fit in, and how many have serious underlying pathologies that would be obvious in a normal environment.

I wonder, but not enough to do any sort of informal research - you never know what will set them off.
