"Student" or "compatriot" would have pleased me even more.
I won't be able to persuade anybody
I'm not that impressive in the meatspace realm. Working behind the scenes (text-based|graphical|video production|managing the mailing list|etc) may be where you wield your power most effectively. Getting organized and getting all the tasks done is what counts.
Where do I buy? Who do I call?
I'm finding it difficult to accept there isn't a chapter of The 4:20 Club near you. No stoners anywhere around there? I doubt that.
I am but your student. I don't know how to contact the stoners in Ann Arbor. I don't even have the connecions that the Social Security freeloaders have!
I am hoping that the gods will watch over my trip to Colorado.
