John Cena Shows ‘Gutlessness’ In Apology To China, Critics Say

Movie star and pro wrestler John Cena was taken to the mat by critics Tuesday for apologizing to China after he called Taiwan a country in an interview.

Cena told Taiwanese media that Taiwan would be the first “country” to be able to see his new “Fast and Furious” film “F9,” prompting backlash in China, which considers the self-ruled democratic island nation its own territory, The Associated Press reported. China often takes suggestions of Taiwan independence as an insult.

“In one interview, I made a mistake,” Cena said in Mandarin in a video posted Tuesday to Chinese social media, per AP. “I need to say now that this is very, very, very, very, very important. I love and respect China and the Chinese people. I’m very, very sorry. As for my mistake, I really apologize for it.”

    same goes for public health care and anything else they might want.

    A lot of that they don't want too. I'm sure that most voters would like public health care that they don't have to pay for. When they do, well they don't want it as much.

    Yeah, ok, whatever.. What's up with the kowtowing to the Chinese government? I mean, sure, it's all about the money, but is it a thing?

      Even if that was going on in this thread, why bring it up now? I don't see anyone talking about the Chinese government here.

          Guess you didn't read the journal, or my initial post

          I learned my lesson from the last time this happened (in a fusty journal that went up in smoke last month). What is left out of a fusty post or journal is often more important than what's in it. Since I can't figure out what was left out of your post by reading your post, I consider your present criticism a waste of my time.
