Posible bugfix/feature ideas to address the above limitations:
- make the spam moderation effect identical no matter what order it came in
- don't accept (and deduct mod points) repeated spam moderations
To be honest, I'm not completely convinced the ones like these that I've seen are spam, to me they're just trolling and flamebait, and usually off topic too. If they start getting more copypasta (or obviously prepared posts in no way designed for engagement on the story), then I'll actively start selecting the spam mod. So until then, you'd better get your spam mods in before I mod them troll. I tend to be a bit tardy reading the stories anyway, so that's not much of a race.

It doesn't matter what the marring is. Interesting, germane, and relevant - nonetheless flamebait. It's a direct statement concerning moderation standards that have no bearing on the quality of presentation, but on the content.
It could have applied as well to:

and it would still have been interesting, germane, relevant foot fetishism being marked as flamebait.

I think it is fair to say divisiveness (way beyond 'wedge politics') is now driving most major country's politics. No one can be a 'moderate' and there is very little 'centrist' left in any voting blocks. Countries with compulsory voting tend to get the lazy middle out, which counters some of the extremism, but there is a strong driver to the far left and far right - almost as if they are the motivated people.. (this also applies to any 'cause' - the highly motivated are usually more... extreme.)
How do we find middle ground when both extremes don't think the 'other side' deserves to even live?

Oh, there's a difference though: my problem is with bigotry, not the bigots themselves, the same way any good doctor wants to kill an infection and not the patient. "Love the sinner, hate the sin" and all that. Whereas the point of racism and company is it's bigotry based on things people did not choose, cannot change, and frankly that have no real bearing on their moral standing.
People don't choose their race or ethnicity or skin tone. Being a close-minded asshole, though, most definitely *is* a lifestyle choice.

What part? 2%? 5%? I'm no SN expert but if there was a loss of community it was because nobody had in-depth knowledge about fucking anything, and if they did they weren't willing to share it. They decided to go back to the shit UI's of Jew-run Nu-Slashdot and Hacker News and the shit policies of Nu-Slashdot and Reddit because more people there knew their shit and -- most importantly -- weren't afraid to let you know it.
So what does this place have? Certainly not free speech, and bigotry aside does not allow questioning the circumstances surrounding vaccines or Chinese involvement in industry and government influence (exposing Israel is okay, occasionally, because Judeo-Globalists don't like it). Political arguments are moderated in an extremely lopsided manner as well. Anonymous posting is moot because it's only obviously used by the same few regs and often in tit-for-tat threads, because who wants to lose karma for daring to disagree with somebody? And in case you mention that somebody might want to post AC because of inside knowledge, well, like I said, nobody knows shit worth sharing and if they did they're too chickenshit to share it. Even our resident controlled-opposition, Runway, toes the Judeo-Bolshevik line for getting vaxxed and hating cops.
That leaves the UI. But a UI is no good if nobody knows the fuckin' code and comments suck.
People like you who say that community members left because of bigotry are just like those Jews at the NBA or CNN wondering why their ratings are tanking, and then blaming Trump for it all somehow. Cream rises. Places with good comments are worth dealing with, as evidenced by Slashdot and Hacker News. /pol/ is full of lots of shit, but because it's the last mainstream site that allows freedom of speech, really fucking awesome discussions and exchanges of information happen there, too, and the bad manners in even the good comments filter out all the trannies and hipster faggots who can kindly fuck back off to Reddit.

Mostly agreed. If a post gets a spam mod, the spam mod should take priority. I have attempted to mod spam as spam after it was already modded troll, or whatever, to no apparent effect.
