    There's nothing at all stopping an automaker from supporting CarPlay, OAA, AND MirrorLink in one head unit. Plus, of course, they'll likely provide their own crappy phone-free interface for those who don't want to connect to a phone, or for when you don't have your phone with you.

    An automaker supporting CarPlay is good for iPhone users but it doesn't mean everyone else is automatically left out of the party.
