You're correct that most politicians are fully on-board with the usual "corporatist" agenda and essentially do whatever the largest of their donors wan,t because yes, they're that far down that rabbit hole...
What does that have to do with "party label," though? That's seemingly much more of a "big money in politics" issue, isn't it? "Citizens United?" and all those LOLs...
Besides, I guess I can't think of a single principled politician remaining anywhere, at all, on the right-side/GOP in the US, whereas the few politicians that are actually somewhere over there, on the consituent-principled, non-corporate agenda side of the continuum like, for example, the Bernie Sanders of the world or perhaps an AOC or whatever, are seemingly all on only one side of the aisle, so I guess there's that... but I don't really see that being a party issue...
