Delta Air Lines calls for carriers to share names of unruly passengers:

Delta Air Lines is calling for an industry-wide effort to keep passengers from boarding competitors' flights after being banned for disruptive behavior.

So far this year, Delta says it has submitted the names of more than 600 banned passengers to the Federal Aviation Administration, which has sought to enforce rules against interfering with flight crews. The industry has seen a surge in poor behavior and banned passengers in recent months, with the bulk of incidents related to face mask requirements.

"We've also asked other airlines to share their 'no fly' list to further protect airline employees across the industry," Delta said in a memo this week. "A list of banned customers doesn't work as well if that customer can fly with another airline."

The company did not say whether sharing of passenger lists should be through the federal government or among companies themselves, and declined to elaborate. Delta said it has more than 1,600 people on its internal no-fly list and did not clarify why it submitted fewer than that to the FAA.

[...] The FAA was noncommittal about the idea Friday, saying in a statement the agency "is meeting with airports, airlines, unions, and others to discuss what additional steps the FAA and our industry partners can collectively take to continue driving down the number of unruly passenger incidents."

The agency said its latest data shows a decline in the rate of unruly passenger incidents. It said that as of last week, incidents involving unruly passengers occurred about six times in every 10,000 flights.

"That's an approximately 50 percent drop from early 2021, but it's more than twice as high as the end of 2020," the agency said Thursday.

I'm not comfortable with the industry-wide blacklist, but I can understand the motivation behind it.

Make up your mind. Either the end justifies the means, or it doesn't.

The rest of your rant is just that - a rant.

I was clear. End doesn't justify the means. But, anti-mask asshats are disruptive entitled little pricks and are bringing this on themselves and everyone else too.

Just witnessed an anti-mask moron screaming at a grocery store, yesterday. The ~50 yr. old idiot threatened a little 80 year old lady and her husband. Ran screaming around the store when a bagger firmly, but politely asked him to leave. Finally was herded out of the store by a checker and the bagger. Then continued to scream and pitch a fit just outside the door, and threatened the little old lady as she tried to exit the store. Anti-maskers are assholes who brought all of this on themselves, first by being inconsiderate to every other person and spreading disease, and second by attacking those who ask them to try to, at least, pretend to be considerate adults when in public.

If we end up with authoritarian laws as a result of the pandemic, there will be a direct line between the behavior of these morons, and the public's acceptance of these laws. In the context of the pandemic, anti-maskers and anti-vaxers are why we can't have nice things (i.e., end to the fucking pandemic that these entitled little pricks keep extending with their irresponsible behavior).

      *yawn*

All that you are saying is, you disagree with anti-maskers, you disagree with authoritarians, but, the means (authoritarianism) justifies the ends (forcing me to mask up so that you feel good). You'll feel better when you get past your confusion.

I find it hard to believe that someone modded you up for this. Got your sock puppets back huh?

So, you are one of the morons extending this pandemic. I guess it shouldn't be a surprise.

You keep battling that strawman. Doesn't change the fact that you and your ideological fellows have extended the pandemic, cost thousands of lives, and will make authoritarian laws more palatable to the populace, if they think the laws might help get us back to normalcy sooner.

        This is on you.

Yep, 37 strawmen at last count. It must really chafe your ass that some people agree with me on some issues. Other people agree with me on other issues. It bothers you to no end that everyone doesn't fall in line like good little ducks, and kneel to the CTRL-Left.

Extending the pandemic? Sorry, but you sound like an idiot with that. This COVID thing is related to the common cold - surely you've been told that at some point? https://www.nih.gov/news-events/nih-research-matters/immune-cells-common-cold-may-recognize-sars-cov-2 [nih.gov] Get back to me when you've cured that common cold, but the COVIDS are still going around.

I've agreed with you sometimes in your fleeting moments of rationality. You spew ignorant bullshit most of the time, but occasionally you make seemingly thoughtful and insightful comments.

FYI, in this thread, your comments are solidly in the ignorant bullshit category.

To help with your ignorance, a strawman is when you invent an position for the person you are debating, and argue against that invented position because it is too hard to actually address your opponent's argument. I don't doubt you have done this, at least, "37 times and counting." But, it is nothing to be proud of.

Runaway1956 suppressed yet another swath of his neurons in his struggle to maintain his cognitive dissonance.
The wonder is that he still seems to have unsupressed neurons, probably he needs them to control his bladder. How long they'll last?

All that you are saying is, you disagree with anti-maskers

And by doing this, he gets to defend a prick that doesn't let a couple in their 80-ies make their choices in regards with wearing a mask.

For the sake of the small part of the world Runaway1956 interfere with, I do hope that he loses the control of his bladder sooner, at least this will keep him busy with more real world things.
