Uh Oh, They Strapped a Sniper Rifle to a Robot Dog:

For years, we've been warning that it was only a matter of time — and now, the inevitable has happened.

Somebody strapped an honest-to-god sniper rifle to the back of a quadrupedal robot dog.

An image shared on Twitter by military robot maker Ghost Robotics shows the terrifying contraption in all its dystopian glory.

[...] There's a lot we don't know about the machine, but according to an Instagram post by Sword International, a gun manufacturer, the machine is called the SPUR or Special Purpose Unmanned Rifle.

More at the Sword's website [Ed Comment: Link is sometimes giving 404 since this story was released--JR].

That's interesting, the first link is twitter, which I can read even though I'm not a twitter'er. :-)
The second is def broken another 404. Thought submitters were supposed to test their links. :-))

All the 404's are just ranging. They are getting a scope on your position. You know what to do. Unfortunately, janrinok does not.

I checked Sword International. It just has a link to another picture on Instagram which DOES require a login.

We do check all links at the time that the story is processed but this could be many hours before its release time.

The problem that we have is that sites go down (unfortunately not due to the Soylentil effect), some social media is removed or deleted, and some source news items are retitled if they appear to be doing better than the original source producer expected - hence a 404. They may come back up or they might not.
