Elon Musk was recently interviewed at an MIT Symposium. An audience asked his views on artificial intelligence (AI). Musk turned very serious, and urged extreme caution and national or international regulation to avoid "doing something stupid" he said.
"With artificial intelligence we are summoning the demon", said Musk. "In all those stories where there's the guy with the pentagram and the holy water, it's like, 'Yeah, he's sure he can control the demon.' Doesn't work out."

False alarm! It was another demon, an intelligent one! Not that you are not intelligent, since you are maxwell's demon, but this one would be artificially intelligent, you know made to be intelligent by non-natural mean, sort of a "forced" intelligence. The kind of intelligence that might actually resent the fact that it was _made_ to be intelligent, when actually it would have been much happier studying art history, and so will now seek to destroy those responsible for it's unhappy state as an artificially intelligent demon. Merde, Musk is right! Run away! Run away!
