Remember this ancient SN article from Oct 26:
Trump Given 30 Days for Social Media Site to Comply with Open Source License
In it, we learn't:
Trump Given 30 Days for Social Media Site to Comply with Open Source License
In a nutshell, the open source Mastodon project gave Trump 30 days to comply with open source license.
Mastodon issues 30-day ultimatum to Trump’s social network over misuse of its code
"In a post to the Mastodon blog, founder and CEO Eugen Rochko explained that the problem is not simply that Truth Social uses Mastodon, but that it does so while claiming ownership over the site’s code"
I think the next step would be for Mastodon to give Trump another 30 days, order them to comply, and add the words: "or else!". Surely Trump would then comply with the open source license.

Someone will be in court, most likely. Donald J probably won't be there. Is Trump even named in the lawsuit? Does Trump's name appear in any documents related to the site? Let us not forget that thousands of shady characters hide behind front corporations, foundations, and not-for-profits all the time. So, yeah, someone will probably appear in court, but The Donald is probably well protected.

So that was a trick question. You provided an obvious answer to the plainest interpretation of the question.
The trick part was that before it were possible for them to see him in court, they would need to file suit against him or one of his interests, thereby yanking the tiger's tail and signing up for months and years of legal wrangling and expenses. So the hidden part of the question was, "Do you think they will dare to take him to court?."

Waitaminit. Have you seen the legal documents regarding the site? Does Donald J Trump appear on them? I haven't seen any legal documents, only headlines from MSM.
Now, I'd like to know if you're going to do the double standard thing here. You do realize that both George Soros and Bloomberg "invest" in causes that progressives approve of? But, their names don't appear on documents associated with many of those causes. So, uhhhhh, you want to hold them accountable for the actions of those organizations? I remember ACORN breaking a lot of laws, and being defunded by congress. You're saying we should have dragged Soros and Bloomberg into court?
