Remember this ancient SN article from Oct 26:
Trump Given 30 Days for Social Media Site to Comply with Open Source License

In it, we learn't:
Trump Given 30 Days for Social Media Site to Comply with Open Source License

In a nutshell, the open source Mastodon project gave Trump 30 days to comply with open source license.

Mastodon issues 30-day ultimatum to Trump’s social network over misuse of its code

"In a post to the Mastodon blog, founder and CEO Eugen Rochko explained that the problem is not simply that Truth Social uses Mastodon, but that it does so while claiming ownership over the site’s code"

I think the next step would be for Mastodon to give Trump another 30 days, order them to comply, and add the words: "or else!". Surely Trump would then comply with the open source license.

Nothing Donald can do will convince conservatives that he is a terrible human being.

One would think that brazenly violating open source licenses might get some traction on a site like this.

Trump Worshipers will obey and believe anything their God Emperor King and Savior Trump tells them.

    • It's safer to inject bleach than vaccine.
    • Trump won the election.
    • They should stop Biden's certification on Jan 6 -- what could possibly go wrong?
    • TRUTH Social will tell only the truth, just like Fox News, OAN and Noosemax

Speaking of TRUTH Social, you know it won't have any censorship because it will only have the TRUTH by not allowing any facts or reality on the site.

Just like how TRUTH Social owns all of the Mastodon code. On a site like SN, the previous sentence won't phase Trump True Believerstm one bit. Not even one tenth of a cycle out of phase.

Yes. It is quite well known Republicans do not care about the middle class nor their struggles.

    *yawn*

I've asked if Trump is the owner of the site in question. Whether he owns it or not, we can all be certain that he doesn't make any decisions regarding administration of the site. Unless you're suddenly asserting that Trump is smart enough to be a sysadmin? That would be weird!

Why is the site referred to as "Trump's social media site TRUTH Social" ?

Let's ask Mr. Owl. [wikipedia.org] He knows everything!

Truth Social (also stylized TRUTH Social) is a proposed social media platform planned to be launched by Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG). [wikipedia.org] It was planned to have a limited launch on Apple's App Store in November 2021, and a full public launch in 2022.[1] [wikipedia.org][2] [wikipedia.org]

[....] On October 20, 2021, the special-purpose acquisition company (SPAC) Digital World Acquisition Corp (DWAC) announced a merger with Trump Media & Technology Group.

Following the link to Trump Media & Technology Group... [wikipedia.org]

Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), also known as T Media Tech LLC,[2] is an American media and technology company founded in February 2021 by businessman and former U.S. president Donald Trump.

There is more in both articles. There was that really so hard?

Whether he makes any/many decisions is irrelevant. He has PUT HIS OWN NAME on it. That means including him in the blame for horrible decisions is entirely fair and in bounds. Just like when he gets credit for anything related to it.
