Philadelphia’s District Attorney is pushing back on the notion that violence is on the rise, despite the more than 500 people murdered so far this year — insisting that there is a gun violence crisis, but not “a crisis of violence” in the city.
“We don’t have a crisis of lawlessness,” he said.
During a testy exchange with reporters during his weekly gun crime update Monday, Larry Krasner pointed to the fact overall violent crime in the city is down about 3% compared to last year.
“As we report on a true crisis when it comes to gun violence in the United States, or also in Philadelphia, I think it’s important that we don’t let this become mushy and bleed that there is a big spike in crime,” he said. “There isn’t. There is not a big spike in crime — that is not true. There is also not a big spike in violent crime, either.”
Blame the guns, right? It's all the fault of gun manufacturers. Guns goad criminals into criminality, right? Don't suspect for one moment that liberal policies like low-bond and no-bond releases actually encourage criminals to be criminals. He's half right, there isn't really a spike in crime, it's just the criminals that he coddles are becoming more violent.

Meanwhile, more and more people are exposing the Vice President as a soul sucking ghoul. Of course, we knew that alrady. This is the woman who kept black men chained up in firefighting crews, even after ordered by the courts to free them.
No less than 19 present and former staffers and personnel associated with Vice President Kamala Harris have spoken negatively of Harris, according to reporting of the Washington Post published last week.
Accounts of Harris staffers have pointed to laziness and callousness on her part, as well as a willingness to behave in an abusive manner towards staff. “It’s clear that you’re not working with somebody who is willing to do the prep and the work,” one former staffer said. “With Kamala you have to put up with a constant amount of soul-destroying criticism and also her own lack of confidence So you’re constantly sort of propping up a bully and it’s not really clear why.”
Not to worry too much though.
Kyle Rittenhouse Reveals He Plans to Become a Lawyer to Fight “POS” Prosecutors
Exonerated Illinois youth Kyle Rittenhouse revealed on Monday that he’s planning on becoming a criminal defense lawyer, speaking in his second major interview since a Kenosha County, Wisconsin court found him not guilty of homicide charges stemming from a self defense event in August 2020.
Rittenhouse singled out Kenosha County assistant prosecutor Thomas Binger, pointing to Binger’s track record of misconduct in his case as a motivating factor for him to pursue a career in the legal field. Rittenhouse was speaking with The Blaze’s Elijah Schaffer and Sydney Watson.
“I want to be a lawyer. I want to go to law school,” said Rittenhouse, revealing he had decided to go for a law career near the end of his homicide trial. “I want to go against corrupt piece of s*** prosecutors like Thomas Binger, and put them in their place and make sure they never practice law again.”
Binger was implicated in hiding critical evidence from the defense team during Rittenhouse’s trial, including a high-definition FBI drone video that showed Rittenhouse under attack by convicted pedophile Joseph Rosenbaum. He faced rebuke from the judge overseeing the trial, with many pointing to the entire prosecution as a politically motivated charade conducted at the behest of the Democratic Party.
In one revelation, Rittenhouse revealed that he had played Call of Duty on the nights of the trial, in a nod to a ridiculous insinuation on the part of Binger that playing Call of Duty suggested Rittenhouse was prone to violence.
If Kyle can take down a couple hundred activist DAs in the next 16 years, he should have a good shot at the presidency in 2036.

Right wingers love law enforcement... unless it involves law enforcement shooting a right wing goon trying to commit breaking and entering at the US Capitol.
It's also telling that right wingers are intent on revisiting McCarthyism and reviving Jim Crow laws, two stains on the history of our country. Of course, right wingers don't want students to learn about Jim Crow laws and other evils from our nation's past. That's why they're trying to ban teaching about these topics, mislabeling them as critical race theory. If Americans don't learn about the wrongdoing in our nation's history, it makes it easier for right wingers to repeat those evils.
Right wingers love McCarthyism. Stopping police from abusing their power, as Black Lives Matter seeks to do, is apparently Marxist. Ensuring all Americans are able to pay for essential health care is apparently Marxist. Ensuring voting rights for all Americans who can legally vote is apparently Marxist. Preventing global warming from becoming as dire as the climate models project is apparently Marxist. Everything is Marxist. Anyone who doesn't unabashedly follow everything right wingers want is a Marxist who wants to turn the United States into the Soviet Union. They even create blacklists like Turning Point USA's professor watchlist, where expressing liberal views outside of the classroom can land you on the blacklist.
When right wingers don't get their way, they systematically ensure that loyal right wingers are placed in positions where they can overrule the will of the people in elections and reject the vote in state legislatures. When the people don't vote for right wingers, discard everyone's votes because of fictional fraud. Democracy be damned, nothing must get in the way of stopping the Marxist boogeyman, even if it means trampling on the Constitution.
And when right wing darling Ron DeSantis announces his intent to create a state military force independent of federal control, one cannot help but wonder if its true purpose is to wage war against the United States. Right wingers sure look like they're preparing to party like it's 1861.
Right wingers used to at least pretend that they supported democracy and cared about things like justice and truth. The facade is now totally removed. Today's dictatorships pretend to be democratic, staging elections while ensuring that one party rule prevails. There's free speech and free expression, just as long as the speech and expression favors the regime. Law enforcement works for the regime to silence dissent, without accountability to the people.
I'll probably get modded flamebait or troll. I've probably earned it by not even trying to be diplomatic. It's not worth the effort when right wingers have created a mass delusion so extreme that a majority of self-identified Republicans believe The Big Lie, and have no intention of dealing with honesty and integrity. You don't understand Marxism, it can't "build up" anything by design. It goes back to the young Hegalians and alchemic ideals. The point is that the system is some shit piece of coal, the perpetual revolution is the process of breaking down every part of that lump as you turn it into gold. You destroy the family structure to break down the patriarchy, you follow Marcuse and make queer the norm to break down any association people have to another on the basis of sex, you engineer programs to keep blacks poor and break down the middle class to keep or turn them revolutionary. When everything has been broken down you sift out the parts that are not gold, then refine again. The problem is that no attempt at this has ever found any gold. The Chinese sifted out 200 million through starvation and failed. The Russians sifted out tens of millions in the Ukraine and found no gold. The process is continuing and forever with the real goal to create a new bourgeoisie of party members, Marxists all feel that they will rise to power in the new system as they break down any associations (even Marxist ones) that may be better but does not suit them personally.
Marxism is by definition from its creators and main writers a system of destruction and not creation.

You're experiencing a bit of a disconnect here. Libruls make it illegal to have a gun, make it illegal to purchase a gun, make it illegal to carry a gun - then complain about illegal methods of acquiring a gun. It's a lot like making sex illegal - it's still gonna happen. The solution is to lock up every one who possesses genitalia.

It is illegal to supply weapons to law abiding men and women. Because they are law abiding, they don't go looting for guns. Because they are law abiding they don't burgle guns. Because they are law abiding, they don't drive to Louisiana to buy a truckload of guns, to bring back to Illinois.
But no amount of laws prevents a criminal from bringing his own gun to a crime.
Stop focusing on the guns, and focus on the criminals.

You haven't been to New York or Chicago lately, have you? Or the District of Columbia? More criminals have guns than honest citizens do. The hoops and hurdles are insurmountable for a lawful citizen, hence the cases going to the Supreme Court. Guns have effectively been outlawed, and only criminals have guns, leaving citizens helpless.
New York is really funny. You can have a gun inside your home, and/or you can have a gun inside of your business, but the moment you carry that gun out the door, you are suddenly ILLEGAL. Concealed carry is "may issue", meaning "will not issue" unless you're sleeping with a high ranking official, or you grease his palm really well.
There are probably fewer legal guns in NYC than there are in my county, out here in Bumfuq, Nowhere. Of course, there is no way to count the illegal guns.

Other cases on the way to the Supreme Court come out of the infamous 9th District, which wants to ban modern arms, standard capacity magazines as well as high capacity magazine, wants to require a new background check for every purchase of ammunition, and more. I think that the 9th actually wants to amputate the trigger fingers of all males born in the state before they can leave the hospital.
Illinois is also targeted for their firearm identification cards, as well as their de facto gun registry system which sends state police to the doors of people whose cards have expired and/or been revoked.
There are more suits pending than I can keep track of. What is needed, is for a constitutional carry case to reach the Supreme Court, which would eliminate any need for licenses of any type.
Criminals can't have guns - we're all agreed on that. Crazies can't have guns - again we're almost all agreed on that. (there are problems with defining who the crazies are) Minors can't have easily concealable sidearms - agreement on that is somewhat less universal, but it's nearly so.
Anyone else can walk into a store, pass a background check, purchase his weapon of choice, and take it home. Any law that violates that principle is unconstitutional. End of story.
