Cyber Ninjas shutting down after judge fines Arizona audit company $50K a day

Cyber Ninjas, a firm hired by the Arizona state Senate to conduct a review of Maricopa County’s election results, on Thursday announced that it is shutting down after a county government report slammed the firm and a judge ordered it to pay $50,000 a day in fines.

Sam Levine, a reporter for The Guardian, first reported the news of Cyber Ninjas closing down on Thursday, tweeting that CEO “Doug Logan and the rest of the employees have been let go and Cyber Ninjas is being shut down.”

[....] Cyber Ninjas, which says it recounted 2.1 million ballots, confirmed Biden beat Trump in the state but claimed in its September draft report that thousands of ballots had issues, including duplicate ballots, voters who cast ballots multiple times and unregistered voters participating in the election.

Maricopa County released a report this month, arguing Cyber Ninjas made 22 misleading claims, 41 inaccurate claims and 13 claims that were false.

Cyber Ninjas, the firm hired to conduct an election review in Arizona, ordered to pay $50,000 a day in sanctions

Cyber Ninjas, the firm hired to conduct a partisan review of election results in Maricopa County, Ariz., has been ordered to pay sanctions of $50,000 a day until it turns over records from the review sought by the Arizona Republic newspaper.

A superior court judge in Maricopa County found the Florida-based company in contempt of court Thursday and ordered the sanctions, according to the Republic.

Maricopa Superior Court Judge John Hannah had previously ordered the company to turn over emails, text messages and other documents to the publication.

“It is lucidly clear on this record that Cyber Ninjas has disregarded that order,” Hannah said.

Facing Fines, Arizona GOP Election ‘Audit' Company Cyber Ninjas Says It's Shutting Down

So let me see if I understand this:

  • based on The Big Lie, from the most prolific of all liars, who began this lie back in May 2020 long before election day, this group is hired to conduct an audit.
  • during this farsical nonsense, they violate the integrity of the voting equipment, forcing this Arizona county to spend $6 million on new equipment (sorry I'm not digging up links for this earlier incident)
  • They make up a bunch of false claims
  • The county debunks those claims
  • Real reporters investigating request documents which a court orders these cyber nitwits to produce
  • They ignore the court order
  • They finally in the end come up with . . . . . . drumroll . . . . nothing.

Republicans declared 2020 the most secure election in history. Many republican judges and many of those appointed by Trump found nothing in all of the various lawsuits about the election. (This is all old news now)

Side note: other of my journal entries go into detail about the billions of dollars of damage caused by various idiots defaming Dominion and Smartmatic with lies. Lies that could easily have been fact checked. Yet these lies were carried on an (allegedly) "news" network to fan the flames that resulted in the Jan 6 insurrection -- which is having its own consequences.

Here's hoping they go after the individuals behind Cyber Nitwits to send a message you don't just get to ignore court orders to produce documents that might reveal the fraudulent nature of your alleged "audit".

Just for fun . . .
