Sleepy is asleep at the wheel, and the poll results show it.

Of course, the poll that really matters won't be done until November. Expect some sweeping changes then.

As a petty bourgeois I feel I have a duty to warn you that if the Democratic Party can't get its shit together in time for November, it's quite literally socialism or barbarism time. What the actual fuck does AOC think she's doing "protesting" outside of SCOTUS, as if clever enough slogans will convince Justice Handmaiden to see the error of her ways, when as a socialist AOC should instead be explaining the origins of women's oppression [marxists.org] to the workers and joining the calls of IWA-RFC for working class solidarity, and eventually a general strike? How does the Democratic Party intend to capture the votes of the workers who are being pounded into economic dust by inflation?

I don't give a fuck that this is obviously the fault of the Federal Reserve for not being sufficiently independent to have raised interest rates (which badly needs to be done) during Trump.

We're at mate-in-1, mate. The excuses are exhausted. Republicans get enough seats in Congress, it's game over man, even if the legality they'll claim doesn't even reconcile against the Constitution, because SCOTUS will rubber stamp it, and the Democratic Party will just roll over and accept it, then promptly be outlawed. "I don't want another Saigon, so just dump everything and everyone, and get the hell out!"

To be perfectly honest, I don't know that Trump would have done any better. Nothing I have ever seen or heard leads me to believe that Trump has any grasp of military priorities, or the importance of allied personnel, or the real value of all that equipment we left behind. At best, I think Trump would have done marginally better than Biden when evacuating a battlefield. The only real difference I can imagine, would be that Trump allowed his commanders to do the jobs that they should have done.

The whole thing was an abortion, and Biden gets all the blame, none of the credit. Thanks for playing though.

Go ahead, give credit where no credit is due.

There should have been a timeline published. Given how deeply we were immersed into Afghan "culture", six months would probably have been reasonable.

              1. Evacuate all non-essential US civilian personnel,
              2. At the same time extend invitations for Afghan friends and allies to evacuate
              3. Begin the collection and demolition of equipment that was not to be withdrawn
              4. Begin the withdrawal of heavier, bulkier equipment
              5. Extend that invitation for friends and allies to evacuate again, just in case some didn't take the first invitation seriously
              6. Begin the draw down of US military personnel
              7. Finally take down the US flags and bug out, making it a fighting retreat if necessary.

Did we see anything that resembled such a timeline? Absolutely not. Everyone seemed to pretend that the approved Afghan government was going to stand up to the very enemy that the US military had failed miserably to eradicate.

It wasn't a question of "if" the Afghan government falls, but "when". As it turned out, it was just a matter of a few days.

Oh, and "Bidenflation" has very little to do with Biden, other than he just happens to be POTUS at the moment. There are many factors causing inflation at the moment, and Biden (or any other POTUS) has very little control over a lot of them. You know, invasion of Ukraine, supply chain issues, chip shortages, COVID (mainly China's zero covid policy), many open job positions, high oil prices, etc, etc.

Oh, and "Bidenflation" has very little to do with Biden,

          Horse. Shit.

Biden has been adversarial to domestic oil from the get-go. He was willing to fly to Saudi Arabia to fellate them, hoping to get oil flowing from there, but he doesn't want to approve of anything that might aid in pumping oil out of the ground, right here at home. Oil isn't all of the inflation problem, but it's as great a driver as anything. If the oil industry were encouraged, maybe even incentivized, to pump Texas or Alaska oil into the market, prices never would have gone up to $5+ and if they had gone up, prices would have fallen off again in no time.

The goals of the greenies are laudable, but FFS, you set your priorities to fit reality!

Biden and his party have pumped how many billions of dollars out, for their various programs? Taxes aren't paying for that shit. Trillion dollar build back better deal? They are printing money to finance that, because taxes aren't covering it. How else do you define a prime driver for inflation? That's the problem with fiat money, it has no value, it's just an abstract idea of value. The more you print, the more prices go up.

Invasion of Ukraine? Fuck that. Why in hell are we financing Ukraine's war? Oh, fuck me, I forgot for a moment. We've already invested untold billions of dollars into the initial coup, Biden and his chump son are heavily invested in Ukraine, the military industrial machine is making billions over billions of that inflated fiat money - we have to protect all of that. But Biden just happens to be president when all of that nonsense beyond his control got out of hand? Got it.

Nuts, I have things I need to be doing. Let me summarize by saying that the Biden administration disgusts me as no other adminstration ever has before. There is not one single thing that Biden has done to strengthen America. He's too busy catering to special interest groups to think of the US.

Are you fucking DAFT, man? Oh, right, I forgot... We're talking about runaway perspective on gaslight alley.

The US has pumped so much oil lately that they're selling excess crude on the world market since North American refineries are already running at full blast. There isn't any domestic refining capacity available to turn more crude into things like gasoline. You don't seem to grasp that this is a global problem, in a global market, causing issues. Required oil and gas products as well as the refined output from such which not available from one geographical place must then be sourced from somewhere else to free up total global capacity.

Now personally, I have long been a proponent of vastly increasing local refining capacity, especially here in Canada! I would much rather upgrade and refine the products here and then sell them to you at the full value of the refined product instead of just selling you cheap crude.

Good luck getting that done, though. North America hasn't built a new refinery in 45+ years, the issues being mostly trying to get over the NIMBYs, and secondarily, having to clear the various "environmental" hurdles.

            Horse shit indeed.

You have no clue about any of this. All you've shown is that you have terminal BDS. Biden can do no good, and all that is bad is directly attributed to Biden in Runaway's World.

Too bad for you the rest of us don't live in Runaway's World. There is more to the real world than just Biden. He may be arguably the "most powerful man on the planet" due to the office he occupies, but he isn't in control of everything. Biden isn't orchestrating the entire world just to piss you off, but somehow that's who's fault it is!

Sure, you think he's the worst ever, but that's just the opinion of some gun nut who has an irrational hatred of Democrats, and Biden gets the hate because he's the leader of the Democrats. We've all seen what your version of reality is, and quite frankly it's delusional.

Little did I know how devoted conservatives are to ideology. Facts? Who cares they say! The obvious fascism has them defending it, literally to the point of insurrection. It saddens me to my core to see conservatives celebrating a Russian dictator and making excuses for insurrection. Honestly the last thing I thought conservatives would have done, but the brainwashing is so very real.
