    I caved into the Facebook pressure. My wife was all, you should join, and pointed out that I was tagged in a bunch of photos anyway. So, they already have bunches of data on me. So, I signed up for it. Posted a couple of things over the errmm..., who knows how long ago I created the account. Now, it's an essentially forgotten account that will collect dust, until Facebook goes poof or something. I could access it, if I wanted. I don't want and wish I could claw all my data back from Facebook. That isn't ever going to happen. So, the best I can do is make Facebook pay the infinitesimal amount they have to, to keep my account around.

    Just load it up with fake data like fake birth dates, education, birth place, etc to clutter up their DBs and also help you tell who sold data to who - e.g. if you get a birthday wishes on April 1st you know where that was from.
