If you wanted to see what it would be like if the world truly did revolve around you, here is a really cool image sequence where the camera view is held fixed to the background stars: https://artuniverse.eu/gallery/190705-rotation24h
I'm pretty sure there's documented evidence of proof that the Earth is flat. Just look at any map, they're all flat. Also, Sea Dragons, they existed, I've seen them on lots of very old maps. Though, I may be convinced that the Earth is actually one large Turtle floating through the cosmos. Got to read a few more documentaries on that one, though. Only read the first book in the series. There may be further evidence presented that actually show the Earth is at the center of a Black Hole and that's why most people are so dense.

The video proves that aussies really live upside-down. When night sets in, the world turns upside-down and when I am in a pondering state, that is what happens to the Aussies. BTW the day in the video is a bit weird as it contains two nights, but is was probably taken on a Feb 28th in a leap year, for everyone knows that that day contains two nights.

you only read the first book? he's the most shoplifted author in all of the UK, it's not like you can blame money problems for lack of access to the text...
I link to the blog itself, rather than direct to the video, as the blog explains a couple of the things you see.
Someone reprocessed that video to make the stars stationary and show the earth moving instead, which gave a very good feel for the earth's rotation, but I can't find a link for that version*.
You could do teh same (reprocessing) for bits of the 'The Mountain [vimeo.com]' video filmed on Mount Teide on Tenerife.

It just wasn't compelling enough for me to buy / rent / borrow the rest of the series after a friend lent me the first book.

*Not true - it is probably this. I can't tell due to computer and/or connectivity problems which means I can't play streamed videos right now.
