I thought it this would be fun everybody. I thought it might be interesting to compare desktop screenshots and see what other SoylentNews user interfaces look like. Tiling window manager or stacking? Desktop environment or not? Are you minimalist? What operating systems are you using?

What about your phone/tablet/phablet?

I'll start: Desktop and Cellular Phone.

At home, I still use Fedora 20 since I don't know if I will move to another distro or just stick with the recent systemd additions. My DE is Xfce4 and compositing is managed by compton (to avoid the tearing that happens when using xfwm4). Since I started using docks (five years ago) I can't live without having one (even though I always use alt+tab to switch between windows), as a launcher they work well. There's a lot of games depending on wine but they run surprisingly well, even though I haven't been playing too much lately. I should do a cleanup of desktop icons, several ones haven't been used for months. I don't know why but Russian support started to work weird in my fedora and now to tag songs I need to use AIMP3 or I'll end up with corrupted tags.

Since I have two screens one usually has a drawing and the other a photo, the secondary also has Conky on it (I used to have gkrellm).
