The double standards, privacy violations, and outright lies from an administrator over the last few years have me pissed off. When I first ran into censorship it was justified as "sounding like ///a banned user///" which belies "moderating based on content" since I was not the banned user and that was the only justification. Since then the narrative has been updated, and my own honesty used against me. These are not good things and promote a "thought crime" environment. The "personal attacks" justification is also violated routinely by other users without consequence, though we are assured consequences occur behind the scenes.

I sort of believe it since the blatant racism and calls for genocide are not frequently repeated these days, but calling out such viilations of site rules has become a violation of site rules.

These are issues the site should address. However, the realuty is the future of discussions is in the fediverse where one group is unable to censor completely. If this site is to stay relevant then a higher standard of management is required. Same reason the death penalty is widely rejected, false positives are toxic and destroy trust in the system.

All that said, quite recently I have not been targeted for harrassment beyond downmods from overly sensitive individuals that do not or choose not to know the facts.
