Too spicy for SoylentNews... not spicy enough for your job:
'Hot Tech Talent' IT job board ads caught up in sexism allegations
Dice, formerly the IT Job Boards, said it intended the images, which feature both men and women, to be light-hearted. Part of the drive behind the campaign was to counter the notion that people working in technology were "nerds".

Even the idea for the ads is backwards. Technically competent people are almost by definition "nerds" who have spent their lifetime building idiosyncratic knowledge systems.

Exactly. People with brains select by mental ability and intellectual environment. Not by physical attributes. This is a downwards spiral because it will cater to people that make choices on superficial properties and that perhaps is best on.. looking good not having what counts above the eyes.
So people. When going to the doctor, you will choose:
A) Good looking doctor that slept through lectures and know very little about surgery?
B) Average dull looking doctor that have the skill and knowledge to beat any peer in the county?
Hmmmmm...
Having a security problem, the boss will choose:
A) The person with neglected skin and cheap t-shirt that can diagnose computer systems and fix things better than most university professors?
B) The person with a fashion suit and sun tan that can say a lot that seems interesting but that have less skills than a 5-year old hacker?
Things will end up with the stuff that is rewarded. Not what people think is rewarded but what actually IS. And high-tech tend to demand brains to get things right so selecting for other parameters is a recipe for poor results and sometimes even dangerous ones.

Anyone have links to the "hot" men pictures?
They should have a "back end developer" add with some guy doing deadlifts/squats/dumbbell lunges.
