    The lawyers are the ones saying it was accidental, because of the CONTRACTS with the life insurance companies, etc.

      Many insurance companies do pay out for suicide. They just don't pay out if it happens within X years.

      In the USA seems X = 2 typically.

      * The “suicide clause.” Usually, this clause states that no death benefit will be paid if the insured commits suicide within two years of taking out a policy.

      Whenever an insured person replaces an existing life insurance policy with a new one, the time clock for the suicide clause is set back to zero and starts over again.

      But do check your contracts carefully first before trying to suicide for insurance money. There have been cases where people committed suicide for insurance money but their policy had expired or doesn't pay out in event of a suicide.
