TheJournal.ie reports:
Because of poor weather most spring crops were planted between 6 and 8 weeks later than normal.
Farmers were banking on a perfect growing season for these crops to achieve a normal yield, however the drought set in shortly after planting and many crops have received almost no rain since they were placed in the ground.
Total cereal production is set to drop by 27% while, with production set to fall by a staggering 58%, the worst performing crop is forecast to be wheat planted in the spring.

Honeycomb's big. Yeah, yeah, yeah! It's not small. No, no, no!.
Twinkies don't go bad for at least one quarter of a galactic rotation. Grow genetically modified and cross bread cereal. Cross breed cereal with twinkies so that the lucky charms harvest is as good as the twinkie harvest.
To get a good grant, also explore the possibility of cross breeding cereal with Big Macs, to get harvests as good as the Big Mac harvest.

So, what are you suggesting? Should we break into that seed archive, to get some Honeycomb seed and Twinkie seed for the Irish?

Okay, here's a solution. Didn't we just recently read an SN story about the US having an over supply of meat?
While I would support open air outdoor storage of huge piles of that meat next to PETA offices, we could also gift some to the Irish.

This is just too funny. I was told, by an AC, that I need more fiber in my diet. https://soylentnews.org/comments.pl?sid=26797&cid=713127 [soylentnews.org] Now, you want to deprive the Irish of their fiber, by shipping them mountains of protein. Funny how stuff just flows along on SN.

Frosted Lucky Charms, while arguably Magically Delicious, are, contrary to popular North American belief, not produced by a process of "Irish cereal harvest." This is a false alarm about people and foods in Ireland.
