WP reports that researchers from the University of Melbourne surveyed 315 same-sex parents with a total of 500 children. About 80 per cent of the children have female parents, while 18 percent have male parents. The children raised by same-sex partners scored an average of six percent higher than the general population on measures of general health and family cohesion. They were equivalent to those from the general population on measures of temperament and mood, behaviour, mental health and self-esteem.
Lead researcher Dr Simon Crouch said same-sex couples are more likely to share child-care and work responsibilities more equally than heterosexual parent families, based more on skills rather than gender roles. "This appears to be contributing to a more harmonious household and having a positive impact on child health," he said. "But about two-thirds of these children experience some form of stigma due to their parents' sexual orientation."
But Benjamin Siegel, professor of pediatrics at the Boston University School of Medicine, said there are limits with such research. He told Boston University Today last year that none of the studies has been a randomized, controlled trial and that all studies on same-sex parenting are small since there aren't as many same-sex parents.

Dude, I think you have some serious mummy issues. Just go back and read you massive rant, it doesn't come over well. Just because you had a bad experience it doesn't follow that all women are crazy illogical mind-wreckers who will inevitably screw up their kids. I'm genuinely sorry you had a bad childhood but one anecdote doesn't lead to "all women are nuts and incapable of bringing up children without a man to offset their insanity".

Maybe apk went on for a bit longer than he should have, but the fact is we first get the news of the ipad+fleshlight combo, now that the same sex couples are doing fine. yeah, women are going to become obsolete soon!

I love women (lol, especially in bed) - they make YOU a better man, when you FIND THE RIGHT ONE (the hard part since folks change along the way, often going separate ways "ideologically" is what I've found, & what anyone I KNOW who divorced told me, along with "it's work" which always "BOGGLED MY MIND" until I finally asked an older guy wtf he meant by that since I told him that was a CONSTANT from those telling me "You did the RIGHT thing by NOT getting married" - he said it's COMPROMISE: You can't always do as you please, and must kowtow to your partner's demands a LOT... I agree, you should though - however, ONLY when it makes sense... & a LOT of the time I see women do things that make NO sense, ala say, if you had a car with a busted transmission AND a busted front fender. Women I've found, IF given a choice of which of the two you could fix only? Would fix the fender since it "looks bad" (dumb, the car is for getting you back & forth to work + groceries etc. really) since they are appearances oriented, whereas a GUY would do the RIGHT THING based on the true need of the car I noted, fix the tranny since it is what helps transmit power to the wheels to get you around)... get it?

P.S.=> Put it THIS way - THAT's the kind of conflicts I've had with my Ma this week doing my home repairs! E.G. -> I caught her cleaning a counter top on a sink I am about to remove and replace with a better one (to get her to shut up, lol, & it didn't NEED a replacement, not really) to "attract better tenants" which, ordinarily, outside of the urban environs the property's in, I'd agree with that (look better attracts better flies/tenants), but NOT in the city environs it's in - there, I am always having to replace things the "type" of tenants I get there wreck (generally stoves, toilets, & refrigerators) when they don't WANT or CAN'T pay the rent, to claim "habitability" issues so they can stall evicitons in rental court... too bad I outthink them, & have code enforcement look @ it doing written validated inspections first, & of course, taking photos beforehand as well (as well as the logic of telling the judge "IF the place was SO BAD & not working, why did they move in, why do the photos show it's fine, and why did code enforcement sign off that the place is fine", first). She doesn't understand this place @ all. It's ignorance on her end, and I have been dealing with that constantly from her in fact... it IS illogical thinking and talking out the ass with NO CLUE on the details, plain & simple. Makes a guy go nuts, has me (almost)... apk

Getting my old Ma to chill out a bit & treat others more respectfully & to attempt to make her persona a bit less abrasive on her end is all... it's that, or, telling her to not come around anymore as I had years ago, for years - which hurts her feelings & I do NOT like doing that to her (even my roommates & best buddy agree, it's NOT me, as I noted & to quit "beating myself up" over it thinking somehow it's MY fault, when even THEY said it's her...) - I don't like hurting my Ma's feelings: She admits she is abrasive and a bad teacher too (for a while until her defense mechanisms "snap back in" after reason fades)... but, it has proven, time & again to be the ONLY solution with her, and allows me peace (& not only me, but other family members did the same before too, not just me).
All I can tell you, is this & ask a question: How old are you? I am 50. I've had 1,000's of women (dates "etc.") & nearly EVERY SINGLE ONE was an illogical monster. IF you're not as old as me, respect that I am older and MAY have seen more due to experience.
Personally, I could care less *IF* you think it didn't "go over well" (you're probaby a woman yourself then, so that'd make sense in that case) with you. I'm not here to win a popularity contest. I only wanted to express some thoughts, based on experience (my own and YES, that of others I noted like my ex-brother in law for example) that I've seen.

This suggests that the problem is YOU, rather than 1,000s of women apparently suffering from this affliction that the rest of us don't recognize. Either that or you had the worst luck imaginable.
Think about it for a moment. Your mother was bad to you, and now you see aspects of her in every woman you date. It's kinda obvious what is happening here.
