If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit. It's an ages old tactic for suck ups. And, no, Trump's bafflement tactics aren't any worse than half the rest of the political world's bafflement. Listen to uh-uh-uh Bernie for awhile, and compare that nonsense to Trump. Bush was good with that, as was Obama. I mean, WTF was "Hopey-Changey" all about?
Let us remember that the television Trump that most of America swooned over was just as full of bullshit as President Trump.
