It is amazing, or not so amazing, that crazy people will cry TDS when anyone reports facts that make Trump look bad.

Especially when it is Trump's own words.

      They just can't handle it.

But they will call YOU (and me, and others no doubt) DERANGED.

      For facts.

Another one, is I produced a long list of articles, and several that are detailed timeline comparing the dates of what Trump said about COVID, compared to what actually happened, increasing cases, deaths, etc. Watching that time line starting in March truly shows just how responsible Trump is. Yet what did the first comment say? It is: sophistry. Something to make Trump look bad.

Free clue: Trump makes himself and his cult followers look bad.

I HATE to break it to you, but you and the rest of you who are infected with TDS are comical. I mean, it's actually entertaining to watch you nuts go apeshit over anything Trump says or tweets.

Trump's been around for a long time and just likes attention. He's like a little kid who just isn't happy until he gets someone stirred up one way or another. Ignore him and you'll do him the greatest dishonor.

Here's how Freedom of Speech works: if you say dumb shit, I barely care! See how that works? You can babble on all you want and I go about my life.

I don't get my medical advice from a president! Amazing, huh! You probably think I'm an IDIOT. I should do everything Trump says, right? Bad news for you- I didn't take orders from Obama, nor idiot Bush, nor Trump, nor will I from Biden if he wins. Get that? I'm going to wear a mask if Trump does or doesn't. I'm going to wear one even if my radical right-wing friends don't. I'm going to wear one even if my radical left-wing friends don't.

Do you see the comedy in your "logic" yet? You and the lot of you freak out over stupid shit! That's what's so comical!

The root of it is that y'all hate Trump so much, but the irony is: if he's such an idiot, why do you give so much credit to what he says?

It's Congress who you should bellyache about and AT.

Go get a life. Stop all the kvetching and be the great citizen you have the illusion you are. Even with COVID and the mess there's still a ton to do- productive, fun, uplifting, inspiring, helping, adult. You've got wisdom and skills. Stop wasting so much time here, making yourself and others miserable, and do something creative and productive. Tutor / teach the knowledge you have. Get a teaching certificate. Something useful.

Something I've noticed on my commute this year is the comparative lack of Trump campaign signs. In 2016 they were EVERYWHERE. Now there are only a few here and there in yards that appear to be die hard GOPers.

In 2016, there was a distinct lack of Clinton signs, even in the yards of people who had signs up for the Democrats of local and state elections. IIRC correctly there was one, maybe two small signs.

This year I am seeing a LOT of Biden-Harris signs. Not quite as many that had Trump signs in 2016, but definitely a massive increase over the Clinton tally.

Now, this is just anecdotal, but I do find it curious. It'll be interesting to see if it is an indication of a actual shift in support, or if it is just less outward expression of it.

Something I've noticed on my commute this year is the comparative lack of Trump campaign signs. In 2016 they were EVERYWHERE. Now there are only a few here and there in yards that appear to be die hard GOPers.

Just from watching the news here, I would guess that a lot of potential sign displayers are having second thoughts. Displaying a Trump sign appears to be an invitation for a passing mob to throw a few molotovs or at least tear down the fences, smash a few windows and graffiti the walls.
Not saying it actually is, mind you, but the news sure paints it that way.

Yup, was just about to post the same thing. You'd have to be a major fool to put up a Trump sign. If you're a Trump supporter / voter, you're much safer putting up a Biden sign, or none at all.

That said, I'm almost stunned to see Trump signs on my neighbors' yards, and my area / county has been swinging more and more left, as the city folk flee the city and infest my once remote rural farming suburbs- farms gone now. Thank you cities and your liberal governments which breed more criminals, rising crime rates, more productive people leaving, bringing the city's productivity and general living status down down down.

I'm not seeing as many Trump signs either. However based on people I talk to who had a sign last year but didn't this year, his support is mostly the same in number but more wishy-washy in terms of enthusiasm. He really only dipped with retirees when he threatened their Social Security and working women who think hes generally blown it on COVID and calming things down. I think it is a sign that the Republican voters know that putting his signs out and actually be seen supporting him this year is a bad idea despite their plan to vote Red until they're dead.

We have to support our millennia Azuma, she is the hope of the future. Just, not a lot of hope there? I keep telling her, I have been though much darker times, and the American situation right now seems like farce more than tragedy. The conservatives have reduced themselves to their core, rampant selfishness and destruction. Not going to play well in the hinterlands, or for that matter anywhere. So they will implode. Like to see what happens if the Supreme Court, with a Catholic Majority, reverses Rowe v. Wade. Has anyone been paying attention to Poland? Solidarinosc? Just because you can seize power, and ram through your minority opinion, does not mean you have the power to make it stick. Republicans have overreached, they have gone too far, they have touched the Black Sun, they have come undone.

So I hope our junior editor stays the course, resists the greener maple leaves across the river, and make America what it was before. Just hoping.

First, I wasn't judgemental, only cynical.
Second, you can't ask to sacrifice her life only because you put your hopes in her. Personally, I chose to immigrate as well (so, I got mine, too) and I can sympathize with her feelings.
Also as a matter of personal choice, I stopped short of the "fuck you" towards those I left behind - it's such a waste of time and mental energy.

I of course defer to our Soylentil of actual experience. But it hardly seems analogous, unless you were under Lukashenko, in Belarus, or Nicolae Ceaușescu in Romania, or, . . . but this is a well known game, where I try to get c0lo to reveal his country of exile, which is not important. Of course, we have many expats here on SoylentNews. Janrinok is in exile across the channel. Bradley-small-number is landlocked in Swiss territory. khallow is an exile in Wyoming, from Califorinia, at least for the tourist season. And of course, Ethanol_fuckered, exiled to San Diego, but only because no one knows he is there, yet. Not to mention myself, right now far from my native Samos, which I miss very much. But the point still stands, we run away only because we can improve the world where we end up. Getting rid of Trump seems to be the task of the world today, so anyone who has any say is obligated to say! Just saying.

No more so "fuck you got mine" than anyone else fleeing a third-world country, with the caveat that I'm trying to get out *before* the dunghill hits the windmill at a good fraction of the local speed of sound.

I've seen too many friends suffer or die needlessly or just plain disappear because of what the US is like for poor people. I nearly went that way myself far too many times. The thing that clinched it for good, though, was getting out of the womens' shelter last year and being told by the transition coordinator that, at 20K a year before tax from working full time, I was "too rich for assistance." That was...absolutely stunning, and not in a good way. That, I think, marked the moment I just gave up entirely.

Look, I have a good idea of what's coming for this country and when, and it is tragic. The splash damage alone will be more than enough to take me out if I get caught in it. It's time to leave, has been time for years, but only now have i gotten close enough in space and time to have a snowball's chance in the Malebolge of pulling it off. I'm calculating on still being stuck here for another 12-14 months unless things go completely to shit, in which case I will be quite literally running across the Peace or Rainbow Bridge for asylum.
