I think the filibuster saves us from insanely changing course on every policy, every issue, every proposed bill brought to congress. Dems are in the majority this year, so they push their agenda through. Two years from now, Rs have the majority, so they reverse everything the Dems did. Two years later, the majority shifts, and the country reverses course again.
That would apply to energy, policing, natural resources, the green agenda, environmental policies, abortion, gun control, financing, etc ad nauseum. Congress could potentially upend any and all aspects of citizens lives if they can easily change all policies every time the majority shifts.
It's SUPPOSED to be difficult to make changes in congress. What's more, there are three branches of government, keeping each other in check. When congress does institute a change, the other two branches are supposed to challenge congress, making it even more difficult for congress to make stupid changes.
We already look like idiots much of the time. Getting rid of the filibuster would increase the idiocy by a factor of 10 - or more.
Abortion is the number one killed of children in the United States.

If the dems actually opposed the republicans, they would easily maintain their majority. They lose when people realize they only give lip service, and then make excuses. It really is just a money game for them, and the goal is reelection, and at over 90%, who can argue with success? One Party

I hope that, as they walk to the gas station, feminists will realize that going from n = 1 to n = 2 was a mistake. We should have gone to n = 0. Logically, if we have 20 genders, then what would stop me from getting my estrogen HRT? How can I be stopped from getting estrogen HRT for my problem with my reproductive system, because I'm not a thing that no longer exists in this in interpretation of gender, when other people get estrogen or progestin HRT for their problems with their reproductive systems?
If I put on my tinfoil hat, I think the feminists have been played as fools. You think you can absolve sexually abusive wombyn-born-wombyns and call their victims "incels", then play blame the victim for every statistical measure that shows that men face more shit than women, and this will somehow result in gender equality? Obviously it does not. All it does is throw red meat to fascists.
