It doesn't. As anyone can plainly see, it just attracts more offtopic abuse... You should learn from your mistakes, but so far, you're not.
I hardly think that my own comments in journals are significantly detracting from the quality of the comments found therein.
You think too highly of yourself. You are just feeding trolls more crumbs, encouraging them to came back for more. Why don't you talk with people that are on topic instead?
Every day some people come to the journals with one view in mind - and it is not to have an intelligent discussion.
There are are some very famous people in the world who say ridiculous things - many of whom are famous US politicians or would-be politicians. I view them as 'professional trolls' They make outrageous claims and demand a dystopian future and their sole purpose is to stir up tension and disagreement. They are trying to troll an entire nation.
Here on this site we have our own trolls - those who create journal entries with a similar aim. They know that whatever they say they will attract publicity and numerous comments. They do not attempt to change anyone's political views (I have no evidence for such a thing ever happening on the internet!) but often repeat something that the 'professional trolls' have raised albeit perhaps add a bit of a twist to it. Other community members gather to comment on such stories - knowing that they will disagree with the person responsible for the journal. This is reflected in the low quality of many of their comments. Often such comments do not initiate an intelligent discussion but degenerate into simple political mud slinging or personal attacks against the journal creator or other commentators.
If people know that they will not agree with the content of the journal or the person behind it, why do they keep visiting their journals repeatedly? Do they expect to change others' views? I doubt it. Yet they continue to 'feed the trolls' for some reason. And this, it appears, is deemed as being acceptable.
I am a community member. I am perfectly entitled to express my views in my comments. Yet you seem to think that I should be chastised for doing so, when many other commentators in the journals do so repeatedly over an extended period of time. Why are you focusing on my comments rather than addressing all those who express their's in these journals? The appropriate way of doing so is to moderate my comments and adjust your thresholds so that they do not bother you - not to remove somebody's right to express themselves. Put me in your foes list. But you have chosen to remain as AC which prevents you from using this site to its full potential. That is your choice and right to do so. And this, it appears, is deemed as being acceptable.

And you're paranoid. Nobody is questioning your entitlements. I only hold admins to a higher standard. I guess I expect too much. Oh well, by all means... Just expect more reminders that you are part of the problem. Actually I think you enjoy it.
Are you holding yourself to this higher standard? Why not expect that standard from everybody? Admins are simply giving some of their time to manage the site on behalf of community. When we are making comments we are doing so as members of that community.
Anyone can volunteer to assist in the site management but doing so does NOT remove their right to comment with their own personal opinions in discussions. People have criticised admins who make comments since the site began. Giving my time freely to support the site does not mean that I no longer wish to participate in the discussions on the site.
If an admin is addressing the community on an administrative matter we usually do so in a Meta story which will be released on the main page. We make the way we manage this site a public matter and the community are asked for their views when major decisions are being made.
I also happen to hold the view that ignoring Trolls does not make them go away. We have tried that in the past for extended periods and it makes not one bit of difference. However, if the community made it clear that those who disrupt the site are unwelcome they might, just might, move on.
Once a troll has made a statement he has usually achieved his aim. He has introduced a contentious, and often extreme, divisive, or polarising, point of discussion and he can step back and watch the argument continue. How does ignoring his initial action change any of that? And nowhere is this more apparent than in certain journals.

At one level that is perfectly clear and provides all the necessary information a user needs. You (and anyone else with a sane setup) cannot establish a secure connection to that site because the response is missing a required TLS feature. Because that required feature is missing, the authenticity of their PKIX response could not be verified. There is nothing you can do about it other than moving on or telling the website owner so they can fix it.
For a technical explanation, you need to examine the certificate of that site. That certificate is a Let's Encrypt certificate. If you look carefully, you'll notice that it contains an X.509v3 feature extension. That particular extension enables a hard requirement on the server providing a valid, time-stamped, countersigned, Transport-Layer Security Certificate Status Request response. However, the server doesn't provide any response to that TLS feature extension even when explicitly requested. Ergo, the certificate (PKIX) says there is a required feature extension for the TLS handshake (REQUIRED_TLS_FEATURE) but that it is not there (MISSING) and that error (ERROR) is preventing a secure connection (secured connection failed) because they cannot verify the authenticity of the data in the handshake. It then rightly tells you that there is literally nothing you should do to fix it on your end, short of contacting the website owners.

It has been interesting seeing EF try and be a halfway decent community member. You can still feel his racist vibes, but whoo doggy if he isn't melting down in runaways safe space. #Flowers4Algernon

Definitely.
And some entity that can't properly configure a web server is probably not one that I'd put much faith in.
Unsurprising, given the source.
