Here is a submission that didn't get picked up that looked interesting. Seen on Mastodon is a bot account that mirrors slashdot Twitter tweets:

Simple and easy.
Maybe soylent can think about using the fediverse in a similar, or even better way?

Okay, maybe not most, but certainly the vast majority of the early adopters were. Suggesting that we "be like" that stupid place that was abandoned. Isn't necessarily a great suggestion. Also, Musk could turn Twitter off and write the whole experience off as a tax credit and the world would be a better place.

You really just want another place for shitposting that has greater visibility than journals. You're not genuinely interested in free speech or opposing the alt-right. You've posted just one article actually criticizing the alt-right in a period of time exceeding the past year. When janrinok argues with Runaway, he actually exposes Runaway's hypocrisy and absurd beliefs. You just post absurd personal attacks and start doxxing Runaway. Even before your aristarchus account got banned, you were constantly spamming articles and trying to deflect the discussions so they were off-topic.
You had many opportunities to reform your behavior. You complain that you think Runaway isn't held accountable the way you were. But when you both were penalized for using sock puppets to moderate comments, you were treated identically. The difference is that you refused to admit to your misdeeds, let alone reform your behavior, instead escalating your spamming and trolling on IRC. When I spam modded one of your comments from your aristarchus account, that was just an excuse for you to spam even more, throw a massive temper tantrum, and behave in an even more disingenuous manner.
Slashdot has its share of spammers to harass users like rsilvergun and creimer. The spammers create imposter accounts to use for trolling and harassment. You've done exactly the same thing here. I agree with the others in this article who would prefer to not bring the worst of Slashdot here. You represent some of the worst of Slashdot.
I've considered posting more journals recently about motorsports, whether about the Daytona 500 and early season NASCAR races, the upcoming Formula 1 and Indycar seasons, or perhaps the 12 Hours of Sebring IMSA race next month. I appreciate that there are other motorsports fans here, and I'd enjoy their thoughts. I've also thought about posting more Star Trek journals. Unfortunately, you would probably use those journals for more spam, just like you've done here. I'm not going to give you the opportunity.
Perhaps I'll be criticized for saying this, and I haven't shared it previously, but I am Roman Catholic. That means I observe the practices of Lent, including giving things up during the season. Some of the comments here, particularly your horrendously bad behavior, often brings out the worst in me and in the comments I post. I've decided that I'll read the articles here and Slashdot at most once per day during Lent, but I'll refrain from reading comments and posting anything. I'll stay logged out and avoid people like you who are here only to disrupt discussions and harass people. I'll miss some of the discussions about technology and the opportunity to discuss motorsports. I certainly won't miss your spam. I can only hope that by that time, either you will have decided to grow up and stop spamming, or that the admins of this site will have shut down logged-out AC posting everywhere.
To everyone else, I'll see you on or shortly after April 9. It'll probably be after April 9 because I'll be watching the Bristol dirt race that day. :-) Please don't let this place turn into the worst of Slashdot. Live long and prosper.

The aim of a troll is to destroy a site, or, more precisely, the community around a site. The first sentence of a post generally identifies it as either a shitpost, or not.
There are 3 main racing tracks in my country (Spa, Zolder, and Francorchamps). We also have a limited number of races on ordinary roads -- quite spectacular, and with serious risks involved. Yet we do not -- for reasons I cannot fathom -- have anything like NASCAR racing though that really looks exciting. I'd like a couple of diary entries on that, if you find time.
