I'm wondering what Linux distros my fellow soylentils use, and why.

I myself have loved Fedora since version 7, and never cared much for Debian systems. My desktops either run Fedora or a source-built XFCE system. What distros do you use, what architectures, and why do you use them? Are there any distros you wish were still around?

I've got three personal computers that I use regularly: A 7-year-old desktop with Windows 7 and Fedora 17, a 4 year old laptop with Win7 and Linux Mint (15, maybe?), and a 6 year old netbook with XP and...I'm not sure. Some other version of Mint, I think. Windows is for games and various other things where I don't want to play around with compatibility on Linux. I use Fedora because it's generally a nice desktop system, and I perceived it as the non-workstation version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, which I was using at work at the time that I first installed it (around Fedora 12, I think). The Mint installations seem to "just work", and I like Debian-derived OSes. "Linux", as an umbrella term, is my choice because I like doing software development there. It's what I became accustomed to in school, so it's what I've mostly stuck with in my personal and professional life.
