It looks like Ars technica tried to disable all the Windows 10 "phoning home". How did it go? Not so well as as you can see here, the most troubling appearing to be encrypted SSL data that was sent even when on local account with all Windows services like OneDrive disabled sent to ssw.live.com. A Czech site went one further and did a traffic analysis on a default Windows 10 install, what did he find? Well it looks like the Win 10 Keylogger in the beta is still running with pretty much every keystroke, voice, and webcam data being sent to Microsoft even with Cortana disabled.

Now many might want to take the Czech with a grain of salt over the tensions between the west and Russia but I've seen enough from the mainstream to know that Win 10 will be a pass for me and any customer that insists on running it will be advised to run disable WinTracking although if the rumors of hardcoded IP addresses are true this will be of limited benefit. So how many here are going Win 10 versus staying away? Is the trade offs worth it to you?
