Incomplete list.

Overlord. (13 episodes) Too short. Ending yelled "our production budget is too small". Really, felt like an advertisement to learn WRITTEN japanese, and buy the raw manga from amazon.co.jp; to find out what happens next.

Chaos Dragon. (12 episodes) Beautifully dark; at least for the first few episodes. The "happily ever after" ending felt tasteless and disgusting. Doesn't anybody know how to write a good tragedy anymore ?

Normally, I wouldn't submit trash like this; but the queue's empty, so . . .

My favourite anime of last season was GATE: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri. Basically a gate into a fantasy world opens up in the middle of Tokyo, and after the city is attacked by monsters and soldiers from the other world, the Japanese government sends a brigade of JSDF troops to the other side to investigate. Flowed well, had decent action, and just enough moe but not too much, although those who have read the novels are a little troubled as darker themes are up ahead, and how that would work with the moe-fication of all the characters is unclear. Second half airs early next year. Another decent show from last season was Gangsta, it feels a lot like the spiritual successor to Black Lagoon. God Eater was good for the action, but not much else. I'll definitely watch the four remaining episodes when they air later this year though, just so I have something to get my blood going while on the treadmill.

I also watched Monster Musume, which is a really silly harem show that features monster girls, and it was good for laughs, as was My Wife is the Student Council President (that is borderline hentai already). But shows like these are just my guilty pleasure... XD

Not a good sign with Chaos Dragon. I had high hopes for it as it had not only Kinoko Nasu's name but Gen Urobuchi's attached to it as well. He's done a lot of good work with stuff like Madoka, Fate/Zero, and Psycho-Pass (those are much recommended if you really want tragedy), but there seem to be other projects with his name on it that are somewhat meh, e.g. Suisei no Gargantia and Aldnoah.Zero. And Nasu is of course famous as the creator of the Fate and Tsukihime franchises...
