I've been putting together a 'Survival Farmer' package just for myself, taking things from different web-sites and putting them together for my own use of, such as:

1. How to grow many types of vegetables (sticking with, mainly, 'popular' vegetables, not the esoteric ones we don't use)

2. How to procure seeds from these vegetables to use in the next planting

3. How to identify and eliminate/reduce the effect of diseases/pests on said vegetables

4. How to preserve vegetables (canning, freezing, drying, etc)

I also want to delve into the (completely foreign, to me) raising and 'harvesting' of meat (raising animals for food and use, such as raising chickens, rabbits, larger farm animals and 'wild' animals such as deer for meat, eggs and as fertilizers) and how to cut up the carcass.

My wife and i currently have a fair amount of knowledge about 1-3, but very little on animal husbandry. (I learned the 'Water Glass' method to preserve eggs and am currently writing down how to make my own 'Lime' (calcium hydroxide)).

Later, i might delve into fruit farming.

Does anyone have knowledge they'd like to add, or web-sites they use? I'm currently gathering info to later condense into easy to use information for myself that i could print and have, that I'd put onto a web-site later if others wanted it, although, a web-site would be rather useless when the sh*t hits the fan :/

Galen ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galen ), who I'm sure our friend @Aristarchus knew, was a physician, surgeon and philosopher in the Roman Empire.

Partly because he couldn't do dissections on corpses (which was prohibited by Roman law), many of his theories and research was wrong and YET he was revered by physicians of the time and therefore held back real research and medical discoveries (if you came up with a competing yet correct theory, you were forced to either abandon the work or change it to conform to Galens' work.

However, Galen's influence was so great that when dissections discovered anomalies compared with Galen's anatomy, the physicians often tried to fit these into the Galenic system. An example of this is Mondino de Liuzzi, who describes rudimentary blood circulation in his writings but still asserts that the left ventricle should contain air. Some cited these changes as proof that human anatomy had changed since the time of Galen.

I compare this revering of Galen to the point of changing what is to fit what Galen said should be to physicists today coming up with Dark Matter in order to save Einstein's theories instead of doing real science and looking at non-Einsteinian theories... anything that doesn't support GR is heretical.

Again, what i believe Einstein saw was a push on a door and Dark Matter was imagined to support that push even when close inspection is showing the door was not pushed but that maybe it was PULLED.

Physicists are seemingly unable to look at PULL because of the influence of Galen Einstein saying PUSH.

I believe we need to look at PUSH now: PUSH, or SLIDE or Delorean gull-wing. Instead, we are putting millions of dollars into PUSH and showing no results.

The Humble Bundle has a 'murder' of crows books about surviving the 'Zombie Apocalypse', all on digital, which i think is funny because if the crash comes, you'll have to know how to get power up and running in order to read the books for very long.

I want to buy just to read the shit, but i don't really have the time and won't probably until i retire or the crash comes (I STILL haven't gotten to read any of the James Bond books i downloaded).

Want to survive crash. Need power to read how to survive crash. Need time to read how to survive crash. Crash comes, no power to read how to survive crash. Die... a lot (I plan on having unlimited spawns).

I was originally, as a Canadian with little stake in the election, hoping someone else would take the leadership of the Dems, but was gladdened (gladdened? Is that a word?) when the Dems won: I'm not a fan of drama drama drama and that is ALL Trump seemed to have as his one trick pony. but.....

.....Creepy Joe? Remember the videos of him smelling girls and womens hair? Him grabbing the hand of that (Grand-daughter?) girl and bumping it against his crotch while she desperately tried to get away?

Man.... I think the drama will die down and SOME things will be better, but man...Creepy Joe...

Almost as bad as NeverHillary, in a way....

Looking for Americans with knowledge of politics.

When this site started up, there was a twinkle in it's eyes, a brightness and naivety, a "Let's discuss and share" and DO NO EVIL aspect that was great. It drew us all in and made us happy.

The twinkle is gone and because nobody is flushing, the shit is building and building and becoming unbearable: we don't discuss anymore... we shit on each other: those of us who have been here from the start AND the new comers alike. Some are AC and some are not, but still the shit builds.

I'm here to say, What happened to the MDC in the site? The civility? The ability to discuss without reverting to shitting on the discussion and turning it into an outhouse?

I've rebooted into MDC-Gaaark2.0 and am trying hard to be civil with others: who will join me? Who will flush once in a while now that MDC is gone?

**Trump wins:

According to the Constitution (unless Trump is able to get an amendment, which I'm gathering would be supremely difficult), Trump has only 4 more years if elected again.

You have a state like Texas that seems to be pro-Trump. Trump pushes and with the help of Republican governors, there is SUBTLE intimidation at the polls in Texas and other states where Trump has 'friends' (read R. Governors and 'proud boys' support).
Trump uses the proud boys as Brown Shirts, intimidates Dem voters...subtly, mind you. Republican state for the foreseeable future.
Trump puts Melania/Ivana/Kushner up front in the Republican party as his successor: if you vote Trump, you will of course get The Trump, even though he can no longer run...nudge nudge, wink wink.

Dems call for support from the Governor against the intimidation, but of course are turned down. Dems call for support from the President, but of course are turned down. Texas (and any others) become Fascist States. Antifa to the rescue...and the Governor brings in 'support' to quell the uprisings.

With certain states locked down, a Trump dynasty begins: a Fascist dynasty.

Also looking at CPU and graphics card vs Integrated.

I don't need AMAZING GRAPHICS QUALITY or blazing speed. What i want is good graphics that are stable and can play some of the games like Battletech, Planetary Annihilation. Nothing amazing, but stable.

Looking more at AMD after some looking, but want it to be OOTB and STABLE.

Anyone have any ideas and luck?
