Video shows Hong Kong police officer shooting protester
A Hong Kong police officer was seen on video Sunday night shooting and wounding a protester, whose condition was not immediately known.
Video found on Facebook and reported by The New York Times shows a protester fall to the ground after apparently being struck by at least one shot from a police officer at point-blank range.
Chan Cheuk-hin, a reporter with Cupid News who recorded the footage, told the Times that the man was "semi-conscious" after the shooting.
Man set alight hours after Hong Kong protester shot by police as clashes erupt citywide
A man has been set on fire in Hong Kong only hours after a protester was shot by police with a live round, as the city experiences one of the most dramatic days in over five months of protests.
[...] In a separate incident, a man who confronted a group of pro-democracy protesters was doused in a flammable liquid and set alight, according to a graphic video seen by CNN and widely shared on social media. The video shows an unidentified and unarmed man shouting expletives at protesters before saying "you're all not Chinese."

We're in the endgame now...
I heard somewhere that in Law Vegas they now have drive through weddings!
Next idea: drive through divorces!
Now put those two drive through businesses on a circular road connected to a main road. You exit main road, go around the circle as many times as necessary, making stops at whichever drive through(s) you think is/are necessary, before exiting the loop and re-entering the main road again.
A convenient time saving innovative idea.
You could also add a drive through to get pre-nup's.
On Jeffrey Epstein, the ABC news coverup and breaking down of trust of the Mainstream Media
There has been lots of talk recently about distrust of the mainstream media, where rather than pursuing facts and the truth, they are accused of pursuing 'narratives' instead (i.e. what their billionaire owners, and the 0.1% class want you to hear / distract us with, rather than what is actually important or the facts in society today).
There are many examples of this : i.e. to this day Julian Assange is still referred to as an 'accused rapist' when mostpeople know that this is made up, and the real issue was that he embarrassed the US government.
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-48253343
Or Edward Snowden is a criminal rather than a whistleblower for unveiling that the US government was tapping into telephone fibers in the United States and spying on its own citizens
https://www.bbc.com/news/av/uk-politics-23141922/snowden-criminal-not-whistleblower
Or that there is a 'shortage' of programmers in the United States, so we need to hand out visas like candy to H1-Bs, when everyone in the industry knows it is really about replacing Americans with cheaper labor
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-03-08/demand-for-programmers-hits-full-boil-as-u-s-job-market-simmers
Or that that the focus on migration is on raids on Mexican woman and kids, rather than arresting the CEOs who run companies employing them illegally to start with (why isn't the CEO of this company in jail, and why doesn't any media ask this?)
https://www.foxnews.com/us/chicken-plants-raided-by-ice-willfully-and-unlawfully-hired-unauthorized-workers-court-documents
It feels that mainstream news is more and more becoming like the 'Pravda' of the old USSR, where dictated 'narrative' written by the 0.1% supercedes facts and the full truth. It seems to happening more and more often these days, across all media outlets in this country. It is obvious when it happens, and makes the news painful to read as the narrative so often makes no sense anymore, as they try to 'twist' it into fake 'facts'.
And now there is Jeffrey Epstein..
This is the "Snowden reveals USA spies on you with taps in the fiber" moment.. Yes, there are conspiracy theories (which this is trying to be dismissed as), and then there are full blown coverups (which this actually is). Epstein supposedly preposterously managed to "commit suicide" in a high security prison. First the coroner indicated that it was a murder, then suddenly it was a 'suicide'. Reddit made jokes the whole way of this 'investigation' saying that the guards will be found to be 'asleep', the video system will be found to be 'broken'... and then all this 'happened', just as they said it would...
https://www.reddit.com/r/Epstein/
Now it may be surprising enough, that Epstein, (who is regarded as a 'financier', when really he was nothing such either - he was just pimping girls to very very rich people, and had set up a whole system and brothel (the 'Lolita Express' airliner jet, the private sex island..etc) to make his living with this) got away with this for years, but the bigger surprise is how the mainstream media went at light speed to promote the 'suicide' story, and then bury the whole thing as fast as possible, as Bill Clinton, members of the British Royal family, and hosts of other 0.1%'ers were found to have visited that island or had sex with girls there.
https://www.nytimes.com/2019/08/16/nyregion/jeffrey-epstein-autopsy-results.html
And as we suspected all along, no one was actually buying this 'suicide', not even the news reporters at major news organizations like ABC, who actually were gagged on reporting the truth while their bosses where spewing the 'narrative'.
https://www.businessinsider.com/amy-robach-abc-hot-mic-epstein-murdered-network-killed-story-2019-11
And then there is this, Sinclair group owns a ton of TV stations in the USA...the owner literally dictated what the news casters should say..word for word, or not, to TVs all across the country as 'truth'... creepy as hell.. it doesn't get more Orwellian than this... and its real...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxtkvG1JnPk
This country no longer has free media. They claim that they want us to subscribe to their 'news', when it is nothing such.. It is narrative, paid for by billionaires for our consumption and to use us.
Why do we get daily articles on how big some Kardassian's butt is rather than daily articles on how bad inequality has gotten in this country, or why healthcare sucks while CEOs are getting rich on sick people, or how the middle class has been gutted by billionaires buying laws in congress (with specific names of people behind these 'think tanks' doing the corruption and law buying). The press in this country, which used to be a pillar of our democracy, has been totally and utterly corrupted, and is not worth listening to. The 'news' is mostly fake. Some papers are better (The Epoch Times, is probably the best I found so far though it too leaves a lot to be desired).
Why should we trust the mainstream media for anything anymore? And where can we go to find actual news based on 'facts' and 'truth' rather than 'narrative' and 'stories' made to distract us from the real issues in society, and the corruption and rot that now seems to have take over things so badly that anyone can be 'suicided' at will, and it becomes... 'the truth'.?
CBS fires whistleblower who leaked video about suppression of the Epstein story 3 yrs ago
CBS News fires staffer who had access to leaked Amy Robach audio
CBS News has fired a female staffer believed to have had access to the tape of Amy Robach raging against ABC News, Page Six understands.
We reported on Wednesday that ABC News chiefs discovered a former employee could be behind the leak of the damning footage of Robach slamming the network for shelving her interview with Jeffrey Epstein’s “sex slave” Virginia Roberts Giuffre. Sources told Page Six that a former staffer had access to the footage of Robach as she aired her frustrations over a hot mike — and that employee was now believed to be working at CBS.
A TV source told us later on Wednesday that the woman was let go from CBS, after ABC execs alerted the rival network.
ABC sources confirmed to us that they’d informed counterparts at CBS about the staffer “as a courtesy.”
It's been a little over a month since my last update. Things are still moving forward. L and I are getting pretty serious.
A couple weeks ago, my wife, L and I all went out to have a joint meeting on what we are doing and the future. I did up an agenda with some talking points and made sure everyone had a chance to look at it before the meeting. L and I are getting to a point where we each want to be bigger parts in each other's lives. That being said, I have important responsibilities at home with my daughter, and my wife is pregnant again.
We all sat down in a restaurant I had chosen because they have booths with round tables. We talked for a couple hours. It looks like maybe this might actually work out. We started out just checking in on each person and how they are feeling about everything before moving on to how we can move this beyond a 'two nights a week' type thing.
While the specifics were still a little vague, everyone is onboard with moving this forward. L will be spending more time with the family. Maybe on some of L and my sleepover nights we will take my daughter so my wife has a break and a night alone.
Since that meeting, L has been spending more time at the house. She has come for dinner a couple more times. Last Saturday she came over while my wife was at work and we made lasagne that we all sat down together to eat after my wife got off work. A couple days later my wife invited her over for lettuce wraps. I'm sleeping over at her house this weekend and then we'll go to remembrance day ceremonies together then head back to my house and we'll all make a breakfast together.
So, things are moving along. It hasn't been easy though. The round-table meeting was a difficult meeting for everyone. While the actual meeting went very well, everyone was anxious in the days leading up to it. My wife is sometimes having bad feelings. We talk regularly about that. She tells me that while she sometimes has bad feelings, that nothing bad has actually happened. She tells me that I am a better person. And while sometimes it's difficult for her, she doesn't want me to end things.
As for L, she wants to know that there is room to grow the relationship. I think that she actually wants to become part of the family. She doesn't want to be on the side. There have been lots of discussion around what that looks like and how we should proceed. It's important for L to have a valid say on how that should happen. This isn't just between me and my wife, this is between the three of us. Everyone needs a say.
For me, managing two relationships is frequently exhausting. I have very little free time these days. When I am at home, I work hard to keep the house in order so that when I am away, my wife doesn't have to worry about working around the house. There is also a lot of emotional energy that goes into the frequent difficult talks that have come up over the last few weeks. It it difficult being the middle man and relaying thoughts and feelings between L and my wife. I'm not a very good relayer of information. I am good at "Feeling" the conversion and the emotion that goes into it, but when it comes to remembering the actual words that were said, I'm not very good. This makes relaying information between L and my wife difficult. This is one reason that it's so important to have open communication between L and my wife.
In this moment, I feel very loved. I feel loved by my wife. I feel loved by L. I feel loved by my daughter. It's an amazing feeling. I feel so lucky and fortunate.
Also, I quit vaping several weeks ago which has been difficult at times. It's been three weeks now without vaping. Nicotine free now! The first time in like 20 years! The cravings are not so bad any more. The worst is when I am sitting at the computer or when I have had a couple drinks. I don't have a lot of time to sit at the computer anymore, so it's manageable. The cravings are definitely getting easier with time.
So that's the update with me. When I started this series many years ago, I had no idea where it would go. I didn't really imagine a "real" relationship like this. I imagined more casual "on the side" things. Will there be a point in time when we both sell our houses and buy a bigger one that we can all live in? Will there be a time where L and I try to have a child together? I never really thought that would be a consideration, but as time passes, those things seem less crazy and more of a possibility. We'll see where we go from here.
While I wait for the TLV3202s to arrive I've noticed that something odd has been happening to the Wi-Fi with my laptop. Since I live in a concrete house with four storeys Wi-Fi was something of a challenge to let it get around to everywhere it needs to go. I'm currently using a TP-Link Archer C7 as my main router, which is on the third floor, and unfortunately, it isn't powerful enough to transmit signal all the way to the second floor where I usually work. So I got a TP-Link RE450 range extender and put it in a spot near the stairwell to the third floor where it can get reasonable signal from the main router and transmit cleanly to the rest of the floor. So now I get 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz 802.11ac signal to all the places where I need it. It's worked fine this way since 2015 and I haven't gotten any firmware upgrades from TP-Link since.
Now, my laptop (A 2017-era System76 Galago Pro, given the designation galp2) has been running Pop OS 18.04 (System76's Ubuntu derivative) on my Galago Pro for some time, and it used to have no trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi setup I have at all. Until one day I noticed that it was failing to connect to the range extender and insisting on connecting to the main router, for which even the 2.4 GHz 802.11n signal is very weak on the second floor. Networking is very very slow that way of course. My laptop was the only device for which this was happening: my phone and tablet, and the gadgets used by my family all worked as they always have.
And so I updated to Pop OS 19.10 by going upstairs and connecting to the Wi-Fi router from there, but that didn't improve matters when I tried going downstairs again. I tried to diagnose the issue further by digging into the innards of wpa_supplicant but all I could find out was that for some reason it couldn't authenticate against the range extender ("RSN: failed to configure GTK"), and kept fiddling with the router and range extender config to no avail. Google was not very helpful here at all.
I tried to boot with the 5.0.0 kernel which was still provided as an option, and bam, Wi-Fi connectivity to the range extender was restored. So since I don't have the time or energy to go around chasing a solution that will get the 5.3.0 kernel's Intel Wi-Fi drivers to talk to the range extender properly again, I tried to get it to boot the old kernel by default. I wound up fiddling with the grub config, only to later figure out that 19.10 doesn't use grub anymore, but UEFI boot. Hopefully there'll be a kernel update which fixes the issue, but until then I'll be stuck on 5.0.0.

The actual text of the bill is brief:
Urging the release of information regarding the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks upon the United States.
Whereas tens of thousands of pages of documents relating to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, remain classified by the Federal Government;
Whereas the contents of these documents are necessary for a full public understanding of the events and circumstances surrounding the September 11, 2001, attacks upon the United States;
Whereas the decision to maintain the classified status of many of these documents prevents the people of the United States from having access to information about the attacks, including the involvement of certain foreign governments; and
Whereas the people of the United States and the families of the victims of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks deserve full and public disclosure of the events surrounding the attack: Now, therefore, be it

Newly-divorced mother who shot dead her three children then killed herself in a triple murder-suicide was an anti-gun violence activist who battled depression, anxiety, and lupus
Ashley Auzenne, 39, was found dead Tuesday along with her children in Texas
Her divorce with the children's father, Murvin, had been finalized just last week
Murvin Auzenne Jr. said his estranged wife was 'was very upset with the result'
She had been battling anxiety, depression and a host of other health problems
Auzenne had also campaigned on social media to end gun violence
Their bodies were found after a relative called for a welfare check at their home
Auzenne posted a picture to Facebook calling for an end to gun violence in 2018
This is an alt-left mass murder, except she didn't (quite) kill enough to be "mass".

Father of slain Deer Park children 'devastated'
The father of three children who were found shot to death with their mother inside the family’s Deer Park home this week said he was shocked at the idea his estranged wife could be responsible.
Murvin Auzenne Jr. said he and his wife were nearing the end of a contentious divorce and “she was very upset with the result.” He said she was particularly distressed that she would not be able to move with their children to her hometown, and would have to get a job and pay him rent if she remained in their home.

After getting final divorce papers, anti-gun activist mother shoots her 3 young children dead: Police
As school staff at a Texas elementary school worried about how the children of a newly-divorced couple would cope with their new life changes, the mother of the kids shot them dead following her finalized divorced.
ABC 13 reports that authorities found the bodies of Parrish Auzenne, 11, Eleanor Auzenne, 9, and Lincoln Auzenne, 7, inside their Deer Park home off of New Orleans Street on Tuesday morning. After the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled their deaths as murder, detectives said that their 39-year-old mother, Ashley Auzenne, was the primary suspect.
After killing her children, Auzenne then turned the gun on herself, causing fatal injuries. Her death was listed as suicide.
Note how Ashely's friends makes excuses for her:
According to court documents, Ashley Auzenne was the one who filed for divorce.
One of Ashley Auzenne’s friends, Carrie Junot, called the woman “the sweetest person” who seemed dedicated to all of her children.
“She was a mom, completely about making sure her kids were happy and taken care of. I know she was dealing with a bunch of stuff personally and medically…..She was the nicest person you could have met, opened her doors to people and advocated for her son.”
Another friend, Mary Dybka, reportedly said Ashley Auzenne was vocal about her disdains of guns and gun violence. Dybka said the pair would joke that Ashley was “more Yankee then Texan with her Democratic views and strict gun control beliefs.”
Dybka told the Houston Chronicle that her friend was the victim of emotional abuse.
“I know he had been extremely controlling and extremely verbally abusive,” she said, referring to Auzenne Jr.
Auzenne Jr.’s father, however, told CBS 11 that there is “no rational explanation” for what happened.
“When young innocents die like this, there is no rational explanation. We will never know why Ashley acted as she did, but we offer our heartfelt prayers to her family,” Murvin Auzenne Sr. said. “Until law enforcement completes its investigation, we ask the public to please respect our need to grieve our loss in private.

And, that's how progressives will do ya. No guns for you, only for them. I'll give 100 to 1 odds the kids didn't have access to guns to defend themselves with. Another small-scale socialist monster here.
Also - do a search, and note the networks that are carrying the story. No extreme-right gun-nut here, so the US leftist MSM isn't interested in the story. Of the big networks, only ABC has it - https://abcnews.go.com/US/texas-mom-newly-divorced-kills-young-children-coroner/story?id=66682355
