Slashcott officially extended to a second week
As long as I need to write stuff to test the features around here I thought I'd mention that the second week of Slashcott, so you guys get a little more breathing room and Dice gets a better visit from the Ghost of Slashcott future, will run from February 17th, 2014, to February 23rd, 2014.

My first thought for improvements
One of the biggest issues I had with /. was the dupes. When there's new info available, resubmission is fine. But sometimes you'd get dupes weeks (or even days) later. The metamod process should have a #dupe tag (it did on /.) but that tag, when applied, should send a message to the editors, who should have the power to pull the story if it really is a recent dupe. You could even farm the job out to moderators.
Just my two cents.

Admin privs work, sec levels are as such
100 = editor
500 = editor with security (can use security page)
1000 = admin
10000 = su_admin
